Existe uma tendência mundial, em todas as áreas de conhecimento, em se avaliar a produção científica, com a finalidade de diagnosticar os avanços na área e os rumos seguidos, bem como os pesquisadores mais produtivos para conhecimento de frente de pesquisa. No Brasil, estudos recentes mostram que os diferentes profissionais se preocupam não só em estudar seu objeto principal, como também avaliar a informação que circula em seu meio e em sua área. Essa avaliação pode se realizar a partir de estudos bibliométricos, apoiando-se nas recentes questões de análise de domínio. Existem algumas abordagens, como produção de guias de literatura, estudos epistemológicos até inteligência artificial, incluindo, entre elas, os estudos bibliométricos, abordagem que será utilizada nesta pesquisa. Procedeu-se da seguinte forma: o levantamento dos pesquisadores dos programas de pós-graduação em Ciência da Informação no tema Tratamento Temático da Informação; seleção da produção científica a partir das palavras-chave, utilizando-se como instrumento o próprio currículo do pesquisador cadastrado na Plataforma Lattes; analisaram-se as temáticas mais contempladas nas publicações de livros e capítulos de livros e categorizaram-se as palavras-chave referentes aos artigos, identificando aproximações temáticas e assuntos mais freqüentes em TTI, bem como a consulta ao WebQualis para classificação dos periódicos onde os pesquisadores publicam; realizou-se análise de coautoria entre os pesquisadores... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This study aimed to characterize the brazilian scientific community on Subject Treatment of Information analyzing its production through the publication of books, book chapters, journal articles, based on bibliometric indicators. There is a worldwide trend in all areas of knowledge in evaluating the scientific production, in order to diagnose the progress in the area and followed the directions and the most productive researchers aware of the research front. In Brazil, recent studies show that different professionals are concerned not only to study its main subject, assess the information that circulates in their midst and in your area. This evaluation can be performed from bibliometric studies, relying on recent issues of domain analysis. There are some approaches, such as production of guides to literature, to epistemological studies artificial intelligence, including among them, the bibliometric studies, an approach that will be used in this study. Orientador: José Augusto Chaves Guimarães / Banca: Leilah Santiago Bufren / Banca: Ely Francina Tannuri de Oliveira / Resumo: Com o objetivo de caracterizar a produção científica docente da área de Tratamento Temático da Informação - T.T.I. foram selecionados 77 artigos de periódicos de autoria de 19 docentes de pós-graduação atuantes na área, buscando detectar as características dessa produção e das fontes de informação utilizadas pelos docentes-autores que possam oferecer um conhecimento mais amplo da área enquanto espaço de atuação acadêmica. Com os dados extraídos desses artigos, foi montada uma base de dados contendo os seguintes campos: autor, título do artigo, título da publicação, palavras-chave, citações, país, idioma e ano da publicação e instituição do autor. Para trabalhar os dados, foi utilizado o software VantagePoint que organiza a informação permitindo a geração de listas e matrizes de cruzamento de dados que possibilitam verificar os relacionamentos existentes entre os campos. Quanto à produtividade dos docentes autores, que estão distribuídos em 5 universidades (USP, UNESP, UFMG, UnB e UFF), a análise dos dados revelou que o conjunto manteve uma média de publicação de 4 a 5 artigos por ano, durante o período de 1990 a 2006. Esses artigos foram publicados em quatro idiomas - português, inglês, espanhol e francês - em 27 periódicos de 9 países, sendo 18 deles publicados no Brasil verificando-se, ainda, uma forte tendência a publicar em periódicos conceituados e de qualidade comprovada. Uma análise das 817 referências contidas nos artigos revelou um total de 659 autores citados e uma preferência pela utilização de livros como fonte de informação na ordem de 50%, assim como a predominância de autores clássicos da área como base teórica. Além disso, foi identificada uma presença em torno de 20% da produção do grupo de docentes na literatura utilizada na área, caracterizando o impacto e o valor da produção desses docentes para a área. / Abstract: Aiming at characterizing the scientific production of professors in the area of Subject Treatment of Information - S.T.I., 77 Journal articles by 19 post-graduation professors acting in the field, were selected, so as to detect the characteristics of this production and information sources utilized by authors- professors which may provide a wider knowledge of the area as an academic acting space. From the information provided by these articles, a database encompassing fields such as author, title of the article, title of publication, keywords, citations, country, language, year of publication and institution of the author, was compiled. The VantagePoint software, which organizes the information allowing the generation of lists and data-crossing matrices, which in turn enable one to verify the existing relationships among the fields, was used. As for the productivity of authors-professors who are distributed in 5 universities (USP, UNESP, UFMG, UnB and UFF), a data analysis showed that group kept an average of 4 to 5 articles per year, from 1990 to 2006. These articles were published in four languages - Portuguese, English, Spanish and France - in 27 Journals of 9 countries, being 18 published in Brazil and a strong trend to publish in renowned and high quality Journals was seen. An analysis of the 817 references contained in the articles, revealed a total of 659 authors cited and a 50% preference for books, as an information source, as well as the predominance of classical authors of the area, used as a theoretical base. In addition, some 20% of the professors' production in the literature used in the area, was identified, thus characterizing the impact and importance of this production for the field. O problema de pesquisa visou caracterizar a produção científica da Motricidade Humana e Esportes apresentada nos Congressos da SBPC. A entrada na SBPC, em 1989, expressa o reconhecimento da maturidade científica da Educação Física e confere à mesma reconhecimento auxiliando na sua legitimidade. A Educação Física se constitui em uma área de conhecimento recente, tendo por principal característica a multidisciplinaridade. Desse modo, é composta de ciências que vão das biológicas às humanas, permitindo assim a construçãoo de um objeto de estudo interessante. Além disso, apresenta grande fecundidade de pesquisas, o que oferece a possibilidade de explorar diferentes dimensões da sua prática científica. Assim sendo, este estudo se mostrou favorável à identificação do movimento e da dinâmica da produço científica da área, contribuindo para o entendimento do estado da arte da mesma e evocando uma reflexão ou ainda auto-reflexão da área de Educação Física. Através de uma análise das diferentes formas de se conceber e produzir ciência e da noção de campo científico, conforme desenvolvido por Bourdieu, foi possível verificar como se apresenta a produçã científica da Educação Fsica e traçar, a partir dai, correlações com aspectos específicos da área. A hipótese deste estudo procurou averiguar o possível condicionamento da produção da área de Educação Física, acarretado por uma exigência da aplicação dos conhecimentos produzidos, base para sua legitimidade social. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This dissertation is placed in the field of studies about science and its main object of analysis is the scientific production of Physical Education (PE) in the Brazilian Association for the Advancement of Science (SBPC). It aims at delineating such production in PE, or Human Motricity and Sports presented in the SBPC Congresses. The admission of PE in the SBPC, in 1989, acknowledges the scientific maturity of the field and contributes to its legitimacy. PE is a recent academic subject whose main characteristic is the multidisciplinarity. As such, it consists of different sciences - from the biological to the humane - thus allowing the constitution of an interesting object of investigation. Furthermore, the field shows a great number of researches, which offers the possibility of exploring the different aspects of its scientific practice. This study has proven to be favorable to the identification of the dynamics of the scientific production in the field and contributes to the understanding of its state of the arts, evoking a reflection or self-reflection of the field of PE. By analyzing the different ways of conceiving and producing science and by knowing the specific characteristics of the field of science, according to Bourdieu, it was possible to check how the scientific production of the PE area presents itself. With this it was possible to correlate PE' s scientific production with its specific aspects. The hypothesis of this study investigated whether there might be a conditioning of the scientific production of the area, caused by a demand of application of the knowledge produced, which is the foundation of the area's legitimacy. In the SBPC the PE area is classified as belonging to the applied sciences.
