Možnosti a specifika pracovního začlenění lidí s mentálním postižením / Opportunities and particularities of working integration of people with mental disability

HERIANOVÁ, Dagmar January 2009 (has links)
The objective of my diploma thesis entitled "Possibilities and Specifics of Work Inclusion of Mentally Handicapped People" was to find out what the possibilities and subsequent specifics of work inclusion of mentally handicapped people in the Karlovy Vary Region are. I was interested in work possibilities for these people as their inclusion in life of the society leads to full-valued life.It is obvious from the research that there is lack of work opportunities in the Karlovy Vary Region.

Specifika práce v chráněných dílnách a možnosti jejich provozu v ČR a USA / Specificity of work in sheltered workshops and possibilities of their services in the Czech republic and USA.

JINDROVÁ, Zdeňka January 2007 (has links)
Taking care of people with disabilities is dated back to history. Nowadays there are many ways how to take care, socialize and integrate people with special needs. For people with some handicap there are number of fences at the same time, which are impossible to break through without help of the other people. We can also find out that people with disabilities are exposed to some kinds of discrimination. The most severe fence for those people is that they have got nearly closed access to the labour market. People with disabilities belong in disadvantaged groups at the labour market and they are suffering from long-term unemployment. Sheltered workshops are one way how to integrate those people. People with health problems and with changed working ability work there. Working in the sheltered workshops isn{\crq}t only earning money. It is also a place where especially the disabled people can become members of society and can gain new experience. I tried to find out similarities and differences in running of chosen sheltered workshops. Based on my stay in Massachusetts, USA I chose to concentrate on describing non-government, non-profit organization called Road to Responsibility, Inc. In the Czech Republic I chose for the same purpose Domov sv. Anežky, o.p.s. in Týn nad Vltavou. In theoretical part of thesis, I concentrate on the problems of disability. I am describing history of care of people with disabilities, the types of disability, socialization and last, but not least jobs opportunities and self{--}fulfillment of peoplewith disabilities. The practical section of thesis is divided into two parts. In part one I am describing running of the chosen companies and their sheltered workshops and in part two I am graphically displaying found information. I chose to do research two different ways. The first one was secondary data analysis and content analysis. I also collected information from interviews, in which I talked to employees and managers of the workshops. Before I started collecting data I chose what information I want to find out, what documents I want to study so I will get the result I wanted {--} to find out the similarities and differences of the chosen workshops in USA and in Czech Republic. The information were e.g. rights and obligations of the clients, the founders of those companies, what do they offer, personal security, qualifications of employees, rates of pay for people with disabilities and last but not least what types of workshops each organization runs. Based on the information I collected, I realized, that certain differences between Road to Responsibility and Domov sv. Anežky exists. The main difference is different rates of pay for people with disability for their work. Another difference is how the rights of clients are exercise. I can declare that both my hypothesis were correct. I am convinced, that my work points out the similarities and differences, which exist in sheltered workshops in the Czech Republic and USA. But of course it is not the whole view of how the community works.

Životní a pracovní podmínky u osob s Downovým syndromem / Living and working conditions at persons with Down´s syndrome

MUSÁLKOVÁ, Kateřina January 2007 (has links)
This master thesis deals with the issues of adults with Down syndrome. Theoretical and practical part consists of basic facts about the syndrome, the field of education, living and working conditions. Secondary data analysis refers to both social and law perspective. The aim of the thesis was to monitor the living and working conditions of people with Down syndrome in the area of České Budějovice and Ostrava. In order to accomplish the objective the qualitative research was chosen considering the research sample. As a basis of the research the form of a semi-standard interview was chosen and as a supplementary was used a casuistic method and secondary data analysis oriented mainly on the area of employment. The results of the research imply that people with Down syndrome can work mainly at sheltered workshops because the organizations focused on employing people with handicap do not employ predominantly people with mental disability. People with Down syndrome work in the sheltered workshops according to the labour law. The master thesis can be used as a resource of information for organizations, which are engaged in employment of people with handicap and also with mental disability thus with Down syndrome.

Praktické zkušenosti zaměstnavatelů se zaměstnáváním osob s lehkým mentálním postižením v okresu České Budějovice a bariéry, které brání jejich zapojení do pracovního procesu / Employers practical experience with caring of low handicapped persons in České Budějovice country and barriers keep off their integration to procedure

BÁTINOVÁ, Lenka January 2009 (has links)
Mentally retarded children, teenagers and adults form a specific, one of the most numerous, group among handicapped people. Mental retardation is a mental impairment characterised by subaverage intelectual functioning, different development of psychic qualities and limitations in adaptive behaviour. It is usually caused by an organic brain damage. The retardation is not a disease, it´s a long-life handicap. The findings of the research has shown that persons with a mild mental retardation hardly ever find a job in the open labour market or in the sheltered workshops. However, the employers are not also concerned in providing these people with a job.

Teilhabe am Arbeitsleben aus Subjektperspektive

Teismann, Malte 05 August 2022 (has links)
The dissertation analyses in an explorative study the constitution of ‚Teilhabe‘ (participation) from a subject perspective in the context of sheltered workshops. The ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN-CRPD) and the introduction of the new Federal Participation Act (Bundesteilhabegesetz) have brought the individual and his or her equal participation to the fore. For many people with disabilities, participation takes place in institutions like sheltered workshops. Sheltered workshops in Germany provided work for approximately 315,000 employees in 2020. This is problematic because even after the ratification of the UN-CRPD, the figures indicate that more and more people are securing their participation outside the general labour market. In a qualitative research project, seven employees of a WfbM were accompanied in occupational change processes. In a qualitative longitudinal study, the subjective level of participation was researched in the sense of grounded theory in order to find out which capabilities become visible in the context of sheltered workshops and how participation is constituted from the subject perspective. The results of the study make it clear that participation in sheltered workshops is made possible on several different hierarchical levels. What individuals perceive as desirable participation opportunities depends on their evaluation framework. It becomes clear that participation can also occur in separative settings such as sheltered workshops, as long as this is coherently compatible with one's own participation goals. Participation from the subject's perspective is then an individually reflected state that is realised through a feeling of fit between the individual participation goal, the underlying ideas and the real conditions of the perceived possibilities.
