: En jämförande studie av Apoteket Shop och The Body Shop / A strong brand: an undue competitive advantage at privatization? : A comparative study of Apoteket Shop and The Body Shop

López, Carolina, Bustamante Pettersson, Natalia January 2009 (has links)
Purpose:  The purpose is to analyze and evaluate Apoteket Shop and The Body Shop as a brand.   Method:  This essay will have a holistic approach. The chosen theoretical approach is deductive. Qualitative methods will be used in the form of deep interviews as well as quantitative methods in the form a questionnaire survey.   Theories:  Involvement Theory, Brand, Brand Strategy, Business Concept, Planning Philosophies, Brand Service Value Chain, Total Communication Empiric:  A total of six deep interviews with representatives from Apoteket Shop and The Body Shop. Questionnaire survey with 25 customers from each company. Result:  The result shows that Apoteket Shop has a long–term thinking in their work but needs to work more with taking these thoughts into action. The Body Shop has also a long–term thinking which clearly shows in the way they work.      Conclusion:  The undue competitive advantages that Apoteket Shop has are the fact that they already belong to a strong and well established brand. If Apoteket Shop doesn’t work so that the structure of their organization is in tune with the strong business concept/brand, these undue advantages will only be short-term since the conditions for a long-term doesn´t exist in the organization.

Rozvrhování v systémech s jedním i více procesory / Scheduling in systems with multiple machines

Černý, Jan January 2008 (has links)
This paper focuses on characterization of scheduling in systems with one or multiple machines. There are different types of tasks given, with which we can encounter in scheduling. At the beginning, introduce basic concepts of production scheduling. The second chapter is a flowshop problem with its history and projections for the flowshop problem. In the next chapter is a modification of flowshop problem called hybrid flowshop, which is divided according flexibility to hybrid flowshop with processing flexibility and hybrid flowshop with routing flexibility. Another chapter is open shop problem, which have some differences compare with the above mentioned types. The last chapter is a job shop, stating in a graphical solution for two machines and a brief description of the algorithm Shifting bottleneck.

Kentner, Lisa January 2013 (has links)

A Generic Mechanism for Repairing Job Shop Schedules

Raheja, Amritpal Singh, Reddy, K. Rama Bhupal, Subramaniam, Velusamy 01 1900 (has links)
Reactive repair of a disrupted schedule is a better alternative to total rescheduling, as the latter is a time consuming process and also results in shop floor nervousness. The schedule repair heuristics reported in the literature generally address only machine breakdown. This paper presents a modified Affected Operations Rescheduling (mAOR) approach, which deals with many of the disruptions that are frequently encountered in a job shop. The repair of these disruptions has been decomposed into four generic repair actions that can be applied singularly or in combination. These generic repair actions are evaluated through a simulation study with the performance measures of efficiency and stability. The results indicate the effectiveness of the mAOR heuristic in dealing with typical job shop disruptions. / Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA)

Heuristics for Job-Shop Scheduling

Pasch, Kenneth Alan 01 January 1988 (has links)
Two methods of obtaining approximate solutions to the classic General Job-shop Scheduling Program are investigated. The first method is iterative. A sampling of the solution space is used to decide which of a collection of space pruning constraints are consistent with "good" schedules. The selected space pruning constraints are then used to reduce the search space and the sampling is repeated. This approach can be used either to verify whether some set of space pruning constraints can prune with discrimination or to generate solutions directly. Schedules can be represented as trajectories through a Cartesian space. Under the objective criteria of Minimum maximum Lateness family of "good" schedules (trajectories) are geometric neighbors (reside with some "tube") in this space. This second method of generating solutions takes advantage of this adjacency by pruning the space from the outside in thus converging gradually upon this "tube." One the average this methods significantly outperforms an array of the Priority Dispatch rules when the object criteria is that of Minimum Maximum Lateness. It also compares favorably with a recent relaxation procedure.

On Line Behavior Of Using Cyber Coffee : A Case Study For The User Of Cyber Coffee in Kaohsiung

Chang, Joseph 08 July 2002 (has links)
Abstract Most of people were introduced that cyber coffee shop equivalent to electrical game shop, and electrical game shop was regard as gambling place. Therefore , cyber coffee shop was misinterpreted to gambling place before. Meanwhile , people who merely know the addiction of cyber coffee shop , but do not try to know the reason why people have such addiction. The young people like to stay at cyber coffee shop where has not only hi-end facility but also good partnership can be found there. Especially , for some people who can escape from parent¡¦s or others interruptions and enjoy themselves while they stay at the cyber coffee shop. After reviewing the previous literatures, we adopt to do the case study from the point of view of schoolwork , relationship and filiation. In principle , we focus on studying the user¡¦s on line behavior of cyber coffee shop in Kaohsiung. Finally we found that the young students are major users of cyber coffee shop in Kaohsiung , and they express that they can well handle the schoolwork. Even though they are good users who have better intelligence , we still worry them will be affected by poor circumstance and play with highly potential risk if the owners of cyber coffee shop have not well management. It worthy to think how to well manage the discipline of cyber coffee shop by responsible education department of government after concluded some guideline through this study.
