No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 5 / Nenhuma / Através deste estudo, procurei discutir o processo de emancipação de jovens oriundos de camadas menos favorecidas da sociedade, a partir da perspectiva da Teoria Social do Reconhecimento de Axel Honneth. Nesse sentido, foi realizada uma pesquisa exploratória, do tipo estudo de caso e de caráter qualitativo, com ex-alunos, beneficiários do Programa de Bolsas de estudo do Colégio Metodista Americano, onde procurei avaliar a relação existente entre a oportunidade da Bolsa de estudo e o ingresso em um campo de possibilidades que viabilize o processo de emancipação desses sujeitos. Para isto foram consideradas diversas condições do campo social, econômico e cultural, do grupo familiar no período em que esses jovens receberam a oportunidade, traçando-se paralelos com as condições em que hoje se encontram. Além disto, foram avaliadas questões pertinentes ao desenvolvimento desses sujeitos, procurando enfocar, em especial, a formação e o reconhecimento de suas identidades individuais e de grupo, criando-se assim as c / Trough this study, I wish to discuss the process of the emancipation of young people coming from lower social schedules, from the perspective of “The Social Theory of Recognition”, from Axel Honneth. In this sense, it was done a exploratory research, on a case study way and with qualitative characteristics, with ex-students who were beneficiated from the Program of Scholarship from School Methodist Americano, were I looked for evaluating the existing relation between the opportunity of having the Free Studying and the entering in a field of possibilities that turns it possible that this students have their emancipation.
