Viveiros de Castro and Latour present ways of thinking about nature-culture relationship which are different from those in the western world. The first takes up the proposal of the Amerindian perspectivism and Latour proposes to consider the two simultaneously, giving no special place for humans. Information is then one of the elements which can promote awareness of environmental problems, thus enabling the understanding of the need for new environmental practices. To this end, the socialization of information is seen as a relevant point and in this sense, the educational institution becomes an important part of this study, since some authors understand it as a place to socialize information and knowledge, forming values and attitudes. As the academic institution is not the only source of information that students have access to, its relationship with these other sources of information is questioned, as well as its connection with the actors involved. To implement this work, a field survey with 126 students in two schools was necessary and the dissertation compared.the.data.obtained. / O presente estudo discute, a partir da relação natureza-cultura vivida pelas sociedades contemporâneas frente aos problemas ambientais, o papel da informação na mudança comportamental dos indivíduos, além da importância da socialização da informação ambiental quando se pretende mudança de atitude. Viveiros de Castro e Latour apresentam formas de pensar a relação natureza-cultura diferentes da que se encontra no mundo ocidental. O primeiro retoma a proposta do perspectivismo ameríndio e Latour propõe considerar os dois em simultâneo, não conferindo lugar especial aos seres humanos. A informação é considerada, então, um dos elementos que pode favorecer a tomada de consciência em relação aos problemas ambientais, possibilitando assim, a compreensão da necessidade de novas práticas ambientais. Para tal, a socialização da informação é vista como ponto relevante e nesse sentido, a instituição escolar torna-se parte importante deste estudo, uma vez que alguns autores compreendem-na como espaço de socialização da informação e do conhecimento voltada à formação de valores e atitudes. Como a instituição escolar não é a única fonte de informação a que os alunos têm acesso, questiona-se sua relação com essas outras fontes de informação, e ainda como a escola se agencia com os atores envolvidos. Para a execução deste trabalho, fez-se necessária uma pesquisa de campo com 126 alunos, em duas escolas e a dissertação comparou dados obtidos.
