Elf Söderqvist, Mikaela, Maaranen, Malin January 2021 (has links)
We have in this study examined if social workers in social services experience that they have opportunities to consider a child perspective, in investigations for long term housing. The purpose of this study is also to investigate the social workers experience and interpretation of their discretion connected to the units guidelines. The study has a qualitative approach where the information was gathered by semi-structured interviews with five social workers. The result have been compered with previous research and have been analysed by using Lipsky´s theory of street-level bureaucrats. The result showed that the social workers experienced that their discretion has been reduced during the last year and that was connected to new guidelines. Results also showed that the social workers expirience that their opportunities to consider a child perspective was limited due to these new guidelines. The social workers have different opinions about the child perspective and the study shows it's a complex and challenging question to make children involved ininvestigations for long term housing. Keywords: Guidelines, housing, participation, child perspective, discretion, parental responsibility

Neuropsykiatriska diagnoser hos vuxna : En studie ur ett livsvärldsperspektiv

Nilsson, Linda, Lindblad, Josephine January 2021 (has links)
This study aims to describe and understand the phenomenon of obtaining an established neuropsychiatric functional variation (NPF) diagnosed in adulthood. The study has been based on a phenomenological starting point and lifeworld approach to further implement KASAM as a theory to clarify the signification of meaning, which is also central in both phenomenology and in the lifeworld perspective. The data collection consists of four open conversations with participants who describe their witness experiences. How the participants experienced the phenomenon is the material that forms the basis for the analysis process and which has created the essential features and the general structure. Previous research draws attention to e.g. the importance of getting your NPF diagnosis given at an early age to reduce the risk factors that come with living unaware of your NPF diagnosis. The present study confirms what previous research reports but draws attention to the understanding of how people themselves have experienced obtaining an established NPF diagnosis in adulthood. The phenomenon in the present study consists of four essential features: the importance of interaction, understanding oneself, the orderly process rooted in the individual and recognition. The general structure was discussed in relation to the essential features and based on our purpose, to describe the importance of the meaning of the dichotomy and understand body and soul as a whole unit.

Barnkonventionen och Ekonomiskt bistånd

Skönvall, Beatrice January 2021 (has links)
The Convention on the Rights of the Child was included in Swedish legislation in January2020. The purpose of this qualitative study is to investigate if and how this has affected workpractices among social workers that investigate families in need of financial support. Thepurpose is also to examine if and how children’s participation in investigations of financialsupport can be understood in relation to different discourses on children. The method thathas been used is semi-structured interviews with a total of six social workers within FinancialAssistance in six different municipalities. The results show that a majority of the socialworkers in the study have not changed their work practices since the Convention on theRights of the Child became law. The Investigation of Financial Assistance is also seen asprimarily concerning adults rather than children. The dilemma experienced by the socialworkers in this study can be interpreted as related to two different discourses about children. On the one hand, children are presented as objects of protection that should be spared frominformation about the investigation, and on the other hand, children are constructed ascompetent actors who are expected to participate actively and contribute to the investigationof the family's economy. The case when children participate more actively in the investigationof the family’s economy is when children act as interpreters for their parents. The child'sposition then goes from being seen primarily as an object of protection, to be seen ascompetent to participate in the investigation and be involved in discussions of financialissues on behalf of their parents.

Johansson, Elin, Dujsic, Anes January 2021 (has links)
The purpose of the study is to distinguish how the child’s best interests and needs are constructed in family therapists stories about their experiences of dilemmas and participation in the interaction between children in foster care and their biological parents. The study consists of qualitative semi-structured interviews with seven professional family therapists, whose stories are analyzed on the basis of narrative approach. The result indicate that family therapists start from different perspectives in their work with children. Some family therapists see children as a competent active individual while others see children as passive and in need of protection. From these perspectives, the family therapist constructs what he or she considers to be the child’s best interests. The family therapist’s view of the child’s best interests in turn affects the working method the family therapist chooses, which is mainly about the extent to which the child is involved. A certain degree of the child’s participation can be seen as the family therapist applying an adult perspective, while a high degree of the child’s participation can instead be seen as the family therapist paying attention to the child’s perspective to a greater extent. Furthermore, differences emerge in how family therapists position themselves during contact, where some take an active role while others take on an observational role.

People with intellectual disabilities and sexuality : the employees perceptions and support measures in group housing

Eriksson, Matilda January 2020 (has links)
The view of the target group is associated with the development of the welfare society and thus has a clear connection to societal norms regarding both intellectual disability and sexuality. The study aims to study the factors that affect the ability of people with intellectual disabilities to express their sexuality and how support measures and guidance for the target group's ability to do so are integrated into community initiatives and social work. This has been done through 7 semi-structured qualitative interviews with employees at group homes. The material has been analyzed with the help of previous research in the field and in relation to the stigma theory. The results show that employees in group housing experience uncertainty in how the support for the target group in sexuality is to be applied. They adapt the support based on individual perceptions and have no official guidelines within the activities. The conclusion is that there is a great need for more knowledge both among those with intellectual disabilities and among professionals, as well as a greater space for the subject in society.

Vägen till arbete för personer med intellektuell funktionsnedsättning : En kvalitativ studie om delaktighet / The way to work for people with intellectual disability : A qualitative study on participation

Thorén, Louise, Svensson, Lizette January 2021 (has links)
