Grundutbildning för rekrytering till marina insatsstyrkan

Adielsson, Ludvig January 2009 (has links)
Basic training to be recruited to the naval rapid reaction forces. This paper examines if there might be a need of change in the basic training so that the conscripts in the Swedish navy will be better prepared to be recruited to the naval rapid reaction forces. It also examines if the way to recruit personnel to the naval rapid reaction forces needs to be changed. To show how well the system, as it is today, works, a case study have been made on the Swedish naval mission, ML, in Lebanon during 2006-2007. It presents experiences from the mission that later has been analyzed with the help of parts of the educational material that is used in the basic training. By this research it has emerged that changes could be made in the basic training to better prepare the conscripts. One example of the suggestions that has evolved is that to a greater extent involve international regulations and procedures in the basic training. Suggestions to change the way of recruiting personnel has also evolved and one example of such a suggestion is that the recruiting process could include a test where the person’s physiological suitability is being tested. A test similar to the one the Air force let’s you do before becoming a pilot.

For that, it is intended to analyze the teacher‟s group profile who teach Chemistry in those schools, considering aspects such as graduation (specific and pedagogical education), how those workers see the teaching and the learning process of Chemistry, the difficult points they find in their career and to characterize the teachers‟ continuing education. It is believed that several difficulties related to the teaching and learning process of Chemistry in the Elementary Education can be related to the initial training program of the Chemistry teachers, mainly by the fact that in many universities the curriculum framework of teaching is linked to the bachelor education, restraining the specific Chemistry contents to be transformed in the pedagogical ones so that the pedagogical education composes the practical education of the teacher, being a initial education based on the technical rationality model. For an effective research, the qualitative methodological approach was opted, with a study case, where it will be investigated the professional profile of a group of teachers, their conceptions about education and the teaching strategies they use to promote the learning process of their students. For the data collection two instruments were used: a questions report and a semistructured interview. The questions reports were applied during a Technical Chemistry Orientation (held in the Pedagogical Workshop Place of the Department of Education in Votorantim), to meet a large number of Chemistry teachers. Questions were based on structured data which allowed the creation of a profile of those professionals, answering the main question who are these teachers . Just the graduate teachers in Chemistry who accepted to join the interview were heard. The interviews permitted the analysis on how the pedagogical and specific education of those workers was established and how to characterize their continuing education. Besides, they also permitted the comprehension on how those professionals see the teaching and learning process of Chemistry among the students and the difficulties they face in their teaching practice.

Svalová výdrž zadního svalového řetězce při pádlování pažemi u amaterských surfařek / Posterior chain muscle endurance and arm paddling peak power in amateur female surfers

Kopčilová, Michaela January 2019 (has links)
Title: Posterior chain muscle endurance and arm paddling peak power in amateur female surfers Objectives: Thesis is dedicated to female surfing, particularly paddling, as this is an undiscovered area of research. Very few studies have been carried out, which would focus on muscle activity in surfing. None of the studies focused on posterior chain or muscle activity of female surfers while paddling. Not only that the level of competitive surfing is increasing rapidly, as it will be part of Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020, but the recreational surfers are also becoming more literate about surf science and willing to improve their surfing performance by dry land surf specific trainings. Surfing industry represents a worldwide business, where big companies offer sponsorship, which is reasonable motivation for young athletes (M. Mendez-Villanueva & Bishop, 2005). As the number of recreational and competitive female surfers is raising as well, the level of competitive female surfing is increasing (Booth, 2001) and professional female surfers are becoming equal in regards to getting the same amount of prize money in competitions, more research should be dedicated to female surfing. The aim of this thesis was to study association between posterior chain endurance and other variables such as frequency of...

PERCEPTIONS OF TEACHERS REGARDING THE IMPORTANCE AND EXISTENCE OF RESEARCHED-BASED PROGRAM CHARACTERISTICS IN ALTERNATIVE HIGH SCHOOLS AND TEACHER’S PERCEPTIONS OF EFFICACY IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA

Lowerre, Robert 29 November 2010 (has links)
The purpose of this research was to determine teachers’ perceptions of the degree to which research-based characteristics exist in alternative high schools and programs in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the importance of these characteristics to effective education. In addition, this research investigated whether or not these perceptions were related to the teachers’ perception of efficacy. These seven characteristics were (a) clearly identified enrollment criteria, (b) low ratio of student to teachers, (c) one-to-one interactions between staff and students, (d) social skills instruction, (e) effective academic instruction, (f) parental involvement and parental support programs, and (g) specific training for teachers who are working with at-risk youth. Alternative school teachers were also administered the short form of the Tschannen-Moran and Woolfolk Hoy (2001) Teachers’ Sense of Efficacy Scale that is specifically designed to assess the respondents’ perceptions of their self-efficacy as teachers. The data show that alternative school teachers in Virginia ranked “low student to staff ratio” as the most important and “parental involvement and parental support programs” as the least important research-based characteristics for the academic focus of their schools. It was also evidenced by the data that none of the research-based characteristics were shown to have “strong evidence” of existence in Virginia’s alternative schools and programs. Finally, the data showed that there is a positive correlation between the existence of the research-based characteristics and the reported self-efficacy of the alternative school teachers.
