Prezentace kvality životního prostředí a jeho vlivu na lidský organismus pomocí geostatistických nástrojů, multidisciplinární přístup / Presentation of the environmental quality and its influence on the human organism through geostatistic tools, multidisciplinary approach

Stramová, Andrea January 2018 (has links)
Nowadays exists large amount of data which characterizes environment on base of different parametres. Due to existence of such large amount of data which is difficult to understand and comprehensively visualize, it is necessary to find tools for their proper visualization. The main goal of this thesis is present current environment in place of residence and show possible influence of environmental factors on health. For achieving the goal it was necessary to obtain individual sets of data and prepare them for each analysis and also for their presentation. In thesis there are described various aspects of environment in the area of Příbram region. Also in text is described in detail spatial determined medical data. Thesis contains O2PLS analysis which will create regression model for thyroid function parameters. Output of whole thesis is creating a web application that clearly presents input data (environmental and medical), geostatical and 02PLS analysis. Due to this work has been developed procedure how to prepare a analyze different type of data and also created detailed describtion of presentation results. Till now has not been proven what aspects can affect thyroid function. Many diseases are affected by the environment. This thesis focuses on influence of environment on thyroid function. Main...

Music and politics: How musicians and their music become a factor in political discourse. / Music and politics: How musicians and their music become a factor in political discourse.

Ma, Liangliang January 2018 (has links)
1 Abstract The thesis emphasizes music and politics, discussing how musicians and their music become a factor in political discourse. As a powerful media, music can be involved in politics and used by politics. The thesis has categorized several ways of musicians and their music become a factor in the politics and also has listed special examples. According to dimensions of human interests, politics of power, politics of money and politics of behavior can be the three main intentions of music getting involved in politics. Musicians and politicians though have many intentions to let the music get connected to politics, the thesis finally reaches the conclusion that they are all for the result of the collective action of the people to achieve higher mutual interests. Keywords Music, Politics, Political Communication, Collective Action, Human Interest

Využití metod prostorové analýzy dat při vymezování venkovských regionů / The Use of the spatial data examining methods for definition of rural areas

KROHOVÁ, Zuzana January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is technical evaluation of existing approaches to defining rural areas in our country, in Europe and in the world. The main result of the work will be a comprehensive proposal for a new definition of rural areas of the Czech Republic by means of spatial data analysis in a geographic information system. The main method of the spatial analysis will be the map algebra, using it to define a new criterion for rural areas. A new proposal for the definition of rural areas of the Czech Republic will be based on a combination of commonly used criterias for defining rural (population, population density, unemployment rate, etc.) along with their processing in GIS (spatial models, overlay operations, spatial statistics and others). The result of this work should serve to further evaluate the proposals and rural areas of sustainable development.

Bayesovská faktorová analýza / Bayesian factor analysis

Vávra, Jan January 2018 (has links)
Bayesian factor analysis - abstract Factor analysis is a method which enables high-dimensional random vector of measurements to be approximated by linear combinations of much lower number of hidden factors. Classical estimation procedure of this model lies on the cho- ice of the number of factors, the decomposition of variance matrix while keeping identification conditions satisfied and on the appropriate choice of rotation for better interpretation of the model. This model will be transferred into bayesian framework which offers the usage of prior information unlike the classical appro- ach. The number of hidden factors can be considered as a random parameter and the dependency of each measurement on at most one factor can be forced by suitable specification of prior distribution. Estimates of model parameters are based on posterior distribution which is approximated by Monte Carlo Markov Chain methods. Bayesian approach solves the problem of selection of the num- ber of factors, the model estimation and the ensuring of the identifiability and the interpretability at the same time. The ability to estimate the real number of hidden factors is tested in a simulation study. 1

Výsledky studentů VŠE ve statistice / Students results in statistics

Knapová, Petra January 2008 (has links)
The main aim of my thesis is to compare results of different groups of students who took part in the statistic course on VŠE. The thesis is dividend into two parts. The first part is focused on theoretical solution of used data comparison. The second part is practical and it is focused on results comparison from different angles with descriptive statistics and some statisistics tests. The results from partial comparison of data from different points of view are summarized at the end of the thesis.

Statistická identifikace klastrového potenciálu v ČR / Statistical identification of industry clusters potential

Mokošová, Veronika January 2007 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to present the process connected with the identification of industrial clusters and to point out possible methods and instruments that are useable by such identification. The target is not only focussed on description of these methods but also on consideration that the methods are likewise useful in regions of Czech Republic, especially taken into account the existing offer of regional data. The diplom thesis consists of three parts. The first part represents theoretical introduction to clusters' problem. The second part, also the theoretical one, deals widely with quantitative and qualitative methods and with procedures and clasification that belong to these methods. The third part applies the theoretical knowledge into practices. The comparison methods are used in the theoretical part and the methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison and induction are used in the practical part. The diplom thesis brings a quantitative extension of methods that have been used so far when identifying the industrial clusters in Czech Republic. Due to the present trend of prefering the qualitative methods, the extension of quantitative methods could be seen as a retrograde act. But the conditions of Czech Republic tourned out that, in fact, it is a suitable extension of statistical instruments.

Statistika a její využití (zneužití) při tvorbě informací / Statistics and its Utilization (Abuse) in Gaining Information

Strnadová, Lenka January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused on how statistics and statistical concepts can be abused to influence a public opinion. The thesis includes theoretical knowledge regarding to statistics, public opinion and institutions which are commonly used as a source of statistical data. A questionnaire was used for a practical part of the diploma thesis. The questionnaire should answer research questions included in the introduction. MS Excel and SAS EG 5.1 were used to process a questionnaire data. There was chosen one or several examples of use and abuse of statistics in creation of information for influencing public opinion almost in all chapters. The conclusion contains a summary of all findings and answers to research questions defined in the introduction of the diploma thesis.
