A primeira parte é uma introdução da teoria básica de grupos necessária para o desenvolvimento do teorema da órbita-estabilizador, que permite fazer as contagens das simetrias dos poliedros regulares. A segunda parte é a descrição de uma atividade aplicada em sala de aula. / This dissertation is divided in two parts. The first part is an introduction to basic group theory required for the development of the orbit-stabilizer theorem, that allows the counts of symmetries of the regular polyhedra. The second part is the description of an activity applied in classroom.
