The diploma thesis focuses on specification of the role of information strategy within the global business strategy. It further deals with meaning of the notion information strategy. By internal and external analysis used in thesis, conditions of successful application of information strategy are evaluated within analyzed firm. Primary objective of the thesis is to propose implementation of information strategy in the selected firm.

This master´s thesis contains an explanation of basic terms and principals used in an issue of information systems. Part of this master´s thesis is analyses of a current state of an information system in a selected company and evaluation of its effectiveness. A set of improvement propositions of the current state was created based on those analyses with both balance and effectiveness of an IS taken into account.

It also demonstrates the method of its application. On the basis of the security risks analysis it suggests arrangements which are currently necessary for the required information security in the company. This master thesis deals with the analysis of information system and selected processes linked to the information system. It contains teoretical foundations of the selected problem, analysis and information system assessment and proposes several changes in order to make the information system and processes more efficient.

This thesis focuses on the design of information system company PLASTIC BOX CZ, s.r.o, based in Brno. The thesis is divided into theoretical and analytical part. The theoretical part presents a theoretical perspective on information systems. In the analytical part, there is some analysis of company's information system PLASTIC BOX CZ, s.r.o, on the basis of the pro-posed changes to the information system.

This thesis aims for evaluating the information system in the company Natural Pack Group Ltd. and its possible changes in order to improve the current situation. In the first part, there is defined theoretical background closely related to the topic of work. The second part is focused on analysing the current state of the enterprise and its information system. On the basic of this analysis, there are proposed changes in the third part, which will be led to improvements of the information systems and business processes of the company.

This thesis deals with aspects of using the common, universal relational table editor as a simple information system, which would be fully independent on the underlying database system and partially independent on the underlying's database schema. One part of this thesis deals with potential of using such universal information system to create a framework to allow fast and easy development of small and medium information systems. The practical part of this thesis is the application, which implements the basics of simple relational table editor, which is fully independent on the underlying database provider and schema and servers as the demonstrative table editor.

The aim of this thesis is a description of information systems and a correct method of selection of the information system by an enterprise. It describes the subject with focus on ERP systems, situation and trends on the domestic market. It brings also benefits of the information systems for enterprises and common mistakes during information system selection process. Own solution for the analyzed company consists of information strategy proposal and the wide selection of the suitable information system. Additional proposals are stated contracted.
