The insecticides lufenuron 50 g/l, esfenvalerate 25 g/l, betacyflutrin 50g/l, betacyflutrin 125g/l, Bacillus thuringiensis 25,000 IU/mg, tebufenozide 240g/l, methoxifenozide 240g/l, triflumuron 250 g/kg are used, to the control of pests in the tomato crop in the Espírito Santo State. This work had the aim to study the effect of these insecticides on the biological characteristics of the F1 and F2 generations of two lineages of the parasitoid Trichogramma pretiosum Riley (Hym.: Trichogrammatidae), on eggs of the alternative host Anagasta kuehniella (Zeller) (Lep.: Pyralidae). This research was carried out in the Laboratory of Entomology of the Center of Agriculture Sciences of the Federal University of the Espirito Santo (CCAUFES) in Alegre, state of the Espirito Santo. The two lineages of T. pretiosum had been collected in the tomato crop in the locality of Rive (252 meters of altitude) (L1) and the city of Afonso Cláudio (380 meters of altitude) (L2) in the Espirito Santo. The effect of the insecticides was evaluated on the adult and immature phases of T. pretiosum on the F1 and F2 generations. In the adult phase, the cards contend eggs of A. kuehniella had been treated by immersion in insecticides and later they were offered to T. pretiosum. In the immature phase, the cards had been offered to the parasitoid and later treated in the periods between 0-24 hours (egg-larvae) 72-96 hours (larva-pre-pupae) and 168- 192 hours (pupae-adult), corresponding to the periods of the embryonic development of this parasitoid. After the emergency of these parasitoids, the females had been individualized from each treatment and cards with treated eggs of A. kuehniella with insecticides had not been offered to the same ones for evaluation of the descendants. Bacillus thuringiensis, lufenuron and triflumuron had been selective to the two lineages of the parasitoid but abamectin and the betacyflutrin (50 and 125 g/L) and esfenvalerate had affected the parasitism of the same ones, when they were applied during the adult phase of T. pretiosum. The lineage 1 of T. pretiosum was susceptible when it received the insecticides during its adult phase. The insecticide that more affect on the generation F2 of T. pretiosum in the two lineages was esfenvalerate. The immature phases of the two lineages of T. pretiosum had been susceptibles to esfenvalerate, when abamectin presented intermediate effect on the emergency, mainly when applied in the phase of egg-larvae of the two lineages of T. pretiosum. Abamectin and esfenvalerate reduced the development of the two lineages of T. pretiosum in the three phases of embryonic development. The insecticides that had been selective for the two lineages of T. pretiosum in the adult phase were B. thuringiensis, lufenuron and triflumuron. While, the immature phases of the parasitoid had been susceptibles to abamectin and esfenvalerate.
