It has also been verified how the channels are being financially supported and what is the concept they have been employing to keep the programs on. Using theoretical support about the concepts of university TV it was used, mainly, the contributions of Priolli (1998, 2003, 2006), Porcello (2002) and Magalhães (2002), besides other authors who approach studies about public TV in Brazil. By the end, it has beeen observed that the spread of university broadcasting channels is recent – from 1995, what happened through the promulgation of the Lei do Cabo law – it was also concluded that the universities and higher education institutions start to invest in the project, appraizing the televisive deeds.
