A inter-relação da arte, design e marca: Tarsila, a artista e o perfume

Penkal, Sandra 03 August 2006 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-03-15T19:43:42Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Sandra Penkal.pdf: 2244632 bytes, checksum: ca8104bd03c6defa736ea56e99ecd598 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2006-08-03 / The aim of this work is to study and make a reflection about the interrelation among the art, the design of products and the commercial marks of the current Cultural Industry. As a research object, the signic dimension of the Manacá/1927 image of the painter Tarsila do Amaral is considered, applied to the product marks of a company of cosmetics and perfumery section of the Brazilian market ( O Boticário ). It can be understood that in all of the times, human groups always used expression behaviors, sense manifestation and social communication, and other language ways. Therefore, the structure of this dissertation is based on a semiotic vision and of the construction of a commercial mark, through the use of artistic sources as symbolic elements that join and enlarge its value. Strong symbols confer a larger link and structure to a mark identity, giving it an easier and fast of being recognized and reminded. Great part of the Brazilian industries, in the most different sections, still doesn t possess a tradition in the use of a design based in elements typically national, resulting, this way, in the reproduction of concepts developed by other countries. Recently, however, some segments already use resources and national data in the conception, creation and development of consumption products. This way, starting from the interchange among art X design to the design X art, including the process of decoding of the work, the public can be moved toward the artistic culture and the national design can be solidified with investments to create and produce products, as demonstrated in this work.

Emtestam, Petra January 2006 (has links)

The abscence of the brazilian artist Tarsila do Amaral (1886–1973) in the general art history is investigated, using the colonial structure as a starting point. In South America she is regarded as one of the greatest artists in modern time, in the rest of the world she is more or less unknown. The conclusion is that the colonial mechanisms are still in progress in our assumed postcolonial world, and has excluded Tarsila do Amaral, and the anthropophagic movement she was a part of, from the art history. The study points out the importance of looking into this neglected artist and the historic event. Not only to add it to the history of art, but also to show how anthropophagy as an artistic strategy created in the 1920’s Brazil is as relevant today as it was then. Three oil paintings of Tarsila do Amaral is used to describe the artistic strategy that solved the problem of beeing shaped as a mirror image to the western world. The paintings A Negra, Abaporu and Antropofagia tells us the story of how the Brazilian people started to see themselves as culturaly independent from Europe. Neither as something opposite nor similiar, but as something between. Anthropophagy is challenging our notion of ”us” and ”them” as well as centre and periphery – and is therefor useful in the writing of art history. Its not only important to make room for Tarsila do Amaral in the history of art – its also urgent to let her contribution be a part of the present art world.

A linha que contorna a crônica: a obra de Tarsila do Amaral / The line that contours the chronicle: the work of Tarsila do Amaral

Maria Helena Cavalcanti Hofmann 31 March 2010 (has links)
The proposal of this dissertation is to investigate the artistic work of Tarsila do Amaral, both her plastic and written workmanship. This research intends to understand how her painting, elaborated as a drawing, with colors delimited by lines and geometrized images, acquires a dependence on a narrative of literary matrix. Tarsila do Amaral, modernist painter, seems to organize the spaces in her paintings when constructing lines, carefully elaborated, printing a cerebral aspect to her work. Therefore, from these two forms of art, image and text, which dialogue between them in the workmanship of the painter, the necessity of writing a dissertation in the chronicle form came out. This literary genre demonstrated to be the form that best adjusted to handle the study object throughout the research, thus writing chronicles having as a starting point Tarsila do Amarals pictures and texts allowed a more detailed and detained look at her workmanship, also making possible to treat all aspects of her life that touched her art. It seems important to realize the foreign influences on her formation as a painter and her search for an identity as an artist. Emphasizing the ludic aspect of her workmanship, the following chronicles seek to understand how a rational painting can produce a result close to a childish image, especially in the Pau-Brasil period. In the Anthropophagic phase, the focus of the study was especially concentrated on the Abaporu screen, on its elaboration, inspiration and unfoldings as literary and artistic movement. Accordingly, twenty one chronicles provide a panorama of the relevant aspects in the workmanship of Tarsila do Amaral since the beginning of her drawing studies until the period in which she has already received the right acknowledgment of her artistic work

No. of bitstreams: 1 Tânia Veiga Judar.pdf: 4540035 bytes, checksum: 8993ef83d5fc2ffed3546618ad02c619 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016-09-05 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This dissertation discusses the Pau Brasil work, written by Oswald de Andrade, and published in 1925, from the perspective of its configuration as an object book, that is, one that is part of visual arts and literature. Therefore, the research highlights the connection between the poetry of Oswald de Andrade and the artistic work of Tarsila do Amaral, as well as the graphic and conceptual design of such work. In the face of the innovative trends of the late nineteenth century and of the early twentieth century vanguards, and the cultural context lived by the author, the Pau Brasil work and the artistic and literary procedures that form it were analyzed, in order to establish a significant interarts dialogue. In order to contextualize and to support the study, aspects of the creation of the object book were addressed, assessing the difficulties of its conceptualization, as well as the connections established with the artistic vanguards - Futurism, Cubism, and particularly, Dadaism - and with works that, in a certain way, anticipated some of the characteristics of the Pau Brasil object book. The analysis of poems "enlightened" by Tarsila drawings unfolded the object book nature of Pau Brasil to the extent that the book is configured as a hybrid body, prepared with mixed and unusual materials when compared with the concept of poetry books – daily speeches fragments, advertisements, colonial history books excerpts, illustrations - in which the printing graphic materiality, the poems, the cover and the drawings are "aesthetic facts" not only to be read and seen, but to be touched and handled in a critical-parodic set / A presente dissertação analisa a obra Pau Brasil, de Oswald de Andrade, publicada em 1925, sob a perspectiva da sua configuração como livro-objeto, isto é, aquele que se inscreve entre as artes visuais e a literatura.
