Pretende-se descrever como ocorre esse processo e quais alterações foram instauradas. Para o entendimento dos encontros culturais foram estudadas as teorias de hibridação e de mestiçagem, que discutem que o essencial em um estudo sobre misturas culturais passa a ser o percurso e não somente o resultado. Para tanto foram visitados dois grupos de tecelagem no município: A Trama, tecelagem tradicional, e O Tissume, tecelagem contemporânea. As teorias serviram de base para a análise de como esses percursos se alteraram no decorrer de suas produções e quais alterações foram incorporadas tanto no grupo tradicional como no grupo contemporâneo. Foi possível perceber, assim, que nem o mais tradicional artista têxtil está isento de contaminações e que as identidades já não mais se apresentam intactas, mas mistas e influenciadas, além de também influentes. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This thesis aims to study the encounter between contemporary and traditional weavings in Pirenopolis / GO. It is intended to describe how this process occurs and that changes were introduced. For understanding cultural encounters theories hybridization and interbreeding arguing that the essential in a study of cultural mixtures becomes the path and not just the outcome were studied. To weaving both groups were visited in the city: The Plot, The Tissume and traditional weaving, contemporary weaving. Theories formed the basis for the analysis of how these pathways change during their productions and that amendments have been incorporated both in the traditional group as in the contemporary group. It was thus possible to realize that even the most traditional textile artist is free from contamination and that identities are no longer present already intact, but mixed and influenced and also influential.
