A pesquisa teve como ferramenta principal, um diagnóstico técnico realizado nas serrarias cearenses e nas marmorarias de Fortaleza, através de um questionário e entrevistas diretas. Os dados do setor de extração foram compilados da bibliografia existente. As informações foram selecionadas e trabalhadas segundo quatro categorias: Processo Produtivo, Comercialização, Mão-de-obra e Perfil das empresas. Os dados obtidos foram apresentados através do método estatístico, com análise das freqüências de respostas do questionário. Os resultados finais apontaram o bom nível tecnológico do parque industrial das serrarias cearenses, porém, revelou fatores a serem melhorados e mais incentivados. Em relação às marmorarias, a pesquisa demonstrou características menos satisfatórias, revelando um setor desarticulado, meio desorganizado. As marmorarias estão enfrentando sérios problemas, como: a concorrência predatória realizada por empresas informais, desorganização administrativa e dificuldades financeiras. A geração deste banco de dados com os parâmetros e informações do setor, possibilitará ao nível Empresarial e Governamental, uma análise mais precisa para possíveis políticas de atuação, que tragam benefícios para uma maior competitividade deste segmento econômico do Estado do Ceará. / This dissertation had as a purpose the Diagnosis of the Production of Dimension Stones in Ceará approaching the current characteristics, the dimension of this topic, and the deficiencies in the production process of the State. The research had as a main tool a technical diagnosis, performed at sawmills of Ceará and at the marble industries of Fortaleza through a questionnaire and direct interviews selected and created according to four categories: Productive Process, Commercialization, Labor, and Profile of the industries. The data obtained were presented through a statistical method, with frequency analysis of the answers for each inquiry in each category. The final results indicated the good technological level of sawmills in Ceará; however, it demonstrated factors to be improved and that need incentive. In reference to the marble industries, the research demonstrated less satisfactory characteristics, revealing a sector dislocated, disorganized, with absence of filiations of all the marble industries in patronage organizations, labor unions, and associations. The marble industries are facing serious problems, such as: the predatory competition by informal industries, administrative disorganization, and economical hardship. The creation of this database with information and parameters of the sector, will provide the Industrial and Governmental levels a more precise analysis for possible public policy of action, that could bring benefits for a larger competitiveness of this economical segment in the state of Ceará.

The aim of the Master‘s Thesis is the measurement and analysis of vibrations on the machine tool parts using a vibration sensor. This work also contains an overview of the current knowledge regarding the issue of the vibrations and the vibration diagnostics, measurement itself and analysis of the measured vibrations.

This thesis is focus at diagnostics of processing machines by diagnostics of vibration with the OCTAVIS system. There is mentioned a view of the present vibration monitoring methods, description of developed diagnosis bench, measuring in this bench and measuring of the chosen production machine.
