Previous issue date: 2009-05-08 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The present research proposes an investigation concerning the possible
therapeutic effects of education, questioning the role of the school in relation
to children with severe disorders of development. Therefore, it questions in
which way the school can produce therapeutic effects capable to promote a
shift of the subjective position of the autistic child, also reflecting on how
psychoanalysis can bring up another look at education that implies a paradigm
change in educational function. Towards this direction, the research presents
the case of Ronaldo, a five year old boy, whose transference relationship that
he establishes basically with me, educational guidance of his school, with his
teacher and also with other members of his school, allowed the construction of
significant links that had provided moments of exit of his autistic closing.
Based on the conception of Alfredo Jerusalinsky (1993) deepened by Leda
Bernardino (2000) on the not-determined psychoses of infancy, the emphasis
on the subjective power of the discursive movement that permeates school
space, represented the possibility of thinking about another outcome for the
autistic condition of the boy. In this perspective, the investigation was carried
through the study of Ronaldo´s case, by observing and listening to the
teachers of the institution where the child was studying, considering operators

Computational Method for Drug Target Search and Application in Drug DiscoveryChen, Yuzong, Li, Zerong, Ung, C.Y. 01 1900 (has links)
Ligand-protein inverse docking has recently been introduced as a computer method for identification of potential protein targets of a drug. A protein structure database is searched to find proteins to which a drug can bind or weakly bind. Examples of potential applications of this method in facilitating drug discovery include: (1) identification of unknown and secondary therapeutic targets of a drug, (2) prediction of potential toxicity and side effect of an investigative drug, and (3) probing molecular mechanism of bioactive herbal compounds such as those extracted from plants used in traditional medicines. This method and recent results on its applications in solving various drug discovery problems are reviewed. / Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA)

Dopady dlouhodobého užívání konopných látek / Effects of long-term use of hemp substancesHorynová, Rebecca January 2021 (has links)
The thesis was divided into two parts. The first part deals with selected long-term impacts of cannabis use and basic concepts such as history, methods of application, use or legislation. In order to understand the whole issue, the basic components of the cannabis plant and their effects. The main part of the theory was then devoted to the possibilities of social work in the field of addiction, but also health complications and therapeutic effects of cannabis. The first part was built on a professional basis literature that addresses this topic. As the work dealt with a very current topic, the latest HARP treatment program was also mentioned. In the second part of the work semi-structured interviews were performed in order to confirm the theoretical part of the work and bring a certain authenticity to the work. The goal was to offer to the reader comprehensive information about cannabis in one place, clearly and transparently. The negatives and the positives that this plant can cause as a result of use were analyzed.
