Sertão se apresenta no imaginário comum do brasileiro como sendo uma região agreste, marcada pelo clima semi-árido e pela caatinga; além de ser descrito como uma área longe do litoral e distante das grandes povoações. Entretanto, ao estudar a história da cidade do Rio de Janeiro percebemos modificações substanciais neste conceito. Sendo assim, o objetivo desta tese foi polemizar sobre o conceito de sertão e analisar seu processo de transformação/modernização até a criação da zona oeste. Assim, ao mesmo tempo em que analisou esse processo, avaliou a relação cidade-campo e como foi compreendida em diferentes momentos no processo de formação da cidade do Rio de Janeiro e arredores. / Hinterland is presented in the common Brazilian imaginary as a wild region, marked by the semi-arid climate and caatinga (region covered with brushwood), besides being described as an area far from the coast and away from big cities. However, after studying the history of the city of Rio de Janeiro substantial changes in this concept was noticed. Therefore, the objective of this thesis was arguing about the concept of hinterland and analyze its process of transformation and modernization until the creation of the west zone. Thus, while this process was examined, we appreciate the relationship between town and country, and it was understood at different moments in the formation of the city of Rio de Janeiro and its surroundings.

A atuação do Dominicano francês Louis Joseph Lebret no Brasil, e da Sociedade para Análises Gráficas e Mecanográficas Aplicadas aos Complexos Socias - SAGMACS, instituição fundada por ele, que atuou entre os anos de 1947 e 1964, foi o mote de nossa pesquisa de doutorado. Buscamos verificar se pode o ideário de Lebret e as concepções e propostas desenvolvidas pela SAGMACS serem consideradas como pertencentes ao campo do urbanismo e ao campo do planejamento urbano e regional. Assim, nesta tese investigamos o ideário lebretiano - no que concerne às instituições fundadas pelo religioso - e os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados por ele na SAGMACS, para entendermos sobre o que permeava, dentro deste ideário, o entendimento dos problemas e da questão urbana, a fim de se apontar as ideias e os estudos, os planos e as contribuições resultantes à formação do quadro do urbanismo e do planejamento regional no Brasil, neste período. / The performance of the French Dominican Louis Joseph Lebret in Brazil, and the Society for Graphical and Mecanográficas Analysis Applied to Socials Complexes - SAGMACS, created by him, here between 1947 and 1964 was the subject of our doctoral research. We tried to find out if the ideas of Lebret and the views and proposals developed by SAGMACS can be considered as part of the fields of urbanism and urban and regional planning. Thus, in this thesis, we investigate Lebret\'s ideas - concerning institutions founded by the religious - and the methodological procedures used by him in SAGMACS in order to understand what permeated within this ideology, understanding of the problems and the urban issue, in order to point out the ideas, studies, plans and contributions to the formation of urban planning framework and regional planning in Brazil, in that period.

This thesis deals with the matter of regulation concerning undeveloped landscape protection. The focus here is an analysis of the legal regulation and instruments governing serving to protection of land in terms of its quantity and quality both from the perspective of environmental law and in terms of town and country planning. Land as a key resource is not unlimited and its unreasonable and irresponsible exploitation might have serious impact to the future generations. In this thesis, which is divided into three chapters I focus on various aspects of legal protection of undeveloped landscape from the perspective of different laws governing the matter. The first chapter contains definitions of key terms used for the purpose of the thesis. The second chapter focuses on different instruments of undeveloped landscape protection, which are town and country planning, general protection of nature, special protection areas and protection of soil, especially on farmlands and forests. The third chapter analyzes the conflict of the right of ownership and the Constitutionally guaranteed right to a hospitable environment. Special attention is given to expropriation for the purpose of nature protection.

The diploma thesis describes the issue of urban planning. Theoretically acquaints the reader with urban planning, zoning plan and processing. The current state of the zoning plan and its changes is analyzed on the example of a selected municipality. Based on these findings, further development possibilities of the municipality are proposed.

The task of this thesis is to assess the impact of down and country planning on the price of land in Brno in the form of case studies. The study will be compiled from publicly available information, primarily from the laws of the Czech Republic and data on land prices, which were obtained using real estate sites. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is mainly concerned with the description of the selected sites, legal aspects of planning and clarifying the basic concepts associated with planning. The second part of this thesis compares the impact of planning documentation for the development of land prices.
