Psicanálise e crítica social em Adorno / Psychoanalysis and social criticism in Adorno

Freitas, Bruno Carvalho Rodrigues de 12 August 2016 (has links)
This research analyses the relation between social criticism, philosophy, and psychoanalysis in Theodor Adorno\'s oeuvre. Its starting point is the Adornian criticism of not only the psychoanalytic theory and practice of Sigmund Freud, but, above all, of some psychoanalysts who can be designated as revisionists, notably Karen Horney and Erich Fromm. By critically reconstituting the arguments and debates between these psychoanalysts and Adorno, this work intends to show that the latter\'s writings are attempts at an immanent critique of psychoanalysis. In these writings, one can find the marks of Adorno\'s wider project of social criticism: the question of labor and the representation of utopia, as well as the relation between criticism and suffering.
