Since online database applications have become increasingly used in clinical systems, accessing to an online immunization record system needs to be addressed to keep people updated about their latest immunization status and help providers to recommend the next appropriate vaccine at any location and anytime. Sufficient Health Information Systems can bridge the gap between the clinical and technical knowledge and benefit healthcare system. In this study, the requirement of designing a database for an immunization record model was reviewed, and a model was designed; subsequently, a database application was developed, and the qualitative assessment was deployed to evaluate the quality of data and some of usability factors. Through this study, the researcher describes how the data model was designed based on the information gained from Canadian resources such as Public Health Agency of Canada, Centers for Disease Controls, and Canadian Immunization Guide- seventh edition; then, a database application was developed, and the qualitative evaluation was performed to understand healthcare providers’ expectation from the real system. / Graduate

The methodology used can be divided in three stages, static background subtraction, detection of moving players and tracking them throughout a football game.

Ultrawideband Indoor Location And Tracking System

The objective of this thesis is to demonstrate an indoor intruder location and tracking system with UltraWideBand (UWB) technology and use data compression and Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR) techniques to improve the performance of the location system. Reliable and accurate indoor positioning requires a local replacement for GPS systems since satellite signals are not available indoors. UWB systems are particularly suitable for indoor location systems due their inherent capabilities such as low-power, multi-path rejection, and wide bandwidth. In our application, we are using UWB radios as a radar system for tracking targets in indoor locations. We also use Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) to compress the UWB scan waveforms from the receivers to the main computer to conserve bandwidth. At the main computer, we use Inverse DCT to recover the original signal. The UWB intruder detection system has the indoor tracking accuracy of four inches. There are many military and commercial applications such as tracking firefighters and locating trapped people in earthquake zones, and so on. This thesis demonstrates the capability of a UWB radar system to locate and track an intruder to an accuracy of four inches in an indoor cluttered environment.

Existence of high power weather ground radars, airport approach equipment, and various other RF sources in the environment necessitates the test teams to be more cautious. This paper discusses, implemented design changes to an S-band antenna system to reduce the in-band interfering power, calculation of the effects from nearby interferers, analysis of the environment during placement of the mobile ground system by Honeywell telemetry teams.

ADVANCED TELEMETRY TRACKING SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AT WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE

International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / November 04-07, 1991 / Riviera Hotel and Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada / Early in the 1980s White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) began studying the problem of updating the Telemetry Tracking Systems (TTS) used to support test range missions. The information and equipment available at that time indicated that very little technology advancement had occurred in the area of TTS. Because the TTS usually have a long service life, it was imperative that the new or updated systems be as good as the state-of-the-art in todays technology could produce. Because of the lack of technology advancements, it was evident that drastic measures would be required to achieve the objectives of the update effort. These findings resulted in a program called the Advanced Telemetry Tracking System Integration and Development (ATTSID). Its objective was to determine if it was possible to apply advanced computer technology to the solution of servosystem problems characteristic in most TTS. This paper and three related papers, The Advanced Telemetry Tracking Servosystem; An Automated Testing System for a Telemetry Tracking System; and The Microcomputer-based Digital Controller for the Advanced Telemetry Tracking System; document the objectives, design considerations, fabrication and evaluation of a prototype TTS. It utilizes a dedicated computer system to control, compensate the servo position loop, and provide automated testing of the servo and RF receiving systems. This computer system was installed and evaluated in one of the WSMR Transportable Telemetry Acquisition Systems (TTAS) for evaluation and refinement of the system. The results of this program will determine the evolution of TTS and extend the use of computer technology to providing more reliable and accurate telemetry tracking support of test range operations.

International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / November 04-07, 1991 / Riviera Hotel and Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada / This paper discusses the design and implementation of a microcomputer system that functions as the central processing unit for performing servo system control, tracking mode determination, operator interface, switching, and logic operations. The computer hardware consists of VMEbus compatible boards that include a Motorola 32-bit MC68020 microprocessor-based CPU board, and a variety of interface boards. The computer is connected to the Radio Frequency system, Antenna Control Unit, azimuth and elevation servo systems, and other systems of the Advanced Transportable Telemetry Acquisition System (TTAS-A) through extensive serial, analog, and digital input/output interfacing. The software platform consists of a commercially-acquired real-time multi-tasking operating system, and in-house developed device drivers and tracking system software. The operating system kernel is written in assembly language, while the application software is written using the C programming language. To enhance the operation of the TTAS-A, software was also developed to provide color graphics, CRT menus, printer listings, interactive real-time hardware/software diagnostics, and a GPIB (IEEE-488 bus) interface for Automated Testing System support.

International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 26-29, 1998 / Town & Country Resort Hotel and Convention Center, San Diego, California / This paper discusses the design, configuration, and operation of a satellite station built for the Center for Space Telemetering and Telecommunications Laboratory in the Klipsch School of Electrical and Computer Engineering Engineering at New Mexico State University (NMSU). This satellite station consists of a computer-controlled antenna tracking system, 2m/70cm transceiver, satellite tracking software, and a demodulator. The satellite station receives satellite telemetry, allows for voice communications, and will be used in future classes. Currently this satellite station is receiving telemetry from an amateur radio satellite, UoSAT-OSCAR-11. Amateur radio satellites are referred to as Orbiting Satellites Carrying Amateur Radio (OSCAR) satellites.
