A pesquisa se desenvolve em quatro capítulos, cujos temas abordam dois momentos fundamentais da construção intelectual de Vianna Moog: o período de ascensão do seu prestigio intelectual na geração de 1930-50; e período de declínio deste mesmo prestígio na segunda metade do século XX. / This thesis analyzes the intellectual production of Vianna Moog about the formation of Brazilian culture, such as his trajectory as an intellectual and political representative of the Brazilian government in International Organizations such as the Organization of American States and the United Nations. The research is developed in four chapters, whose topics address two key moments of the intellectual construction of Vianna Moog: the period of the rise in the generation of 1930-50, and ostracism period of his intellectual production in the second half of the twentieth century.
