It is considered an educational experience non-formal with adults, in which these distinct languages comprise the object of study, through the creation, image reading and translation interlanguage. On the basis of previous inquiries (Project TRANSARTE Transdisciplinarity and Art), accounts of experience and theoretical beginnings about the trial of translation of Omar Calabrese, breaks of the budget that comparative studies, intersemiótics, enable not just the construction of the know distinct simultaneously, as permit, by means of analogies, the perception so much of similarities between the languages but, equally, the differences that become possible distinguish characteristics of the field of the verbal text, as well as of the visual one. The qualitative facts obtained, by coherence, also belong so much to the domains of the verbal as much as one of the visual one: photographs, records writing by the participants of the group and a notebook of field by the ministrant. To the end, established itself that the participants obtained to do analogies between the verbal and visual languages, exercised the trial of translation and applied knowledge by means of analogies, taking like base the theory cognitive of David Ausubel. / Este estudo, denominado Possibilidades de articulação entre o visual e o verbal em uma experiência de educação não formal, apresenta fundamentos que amparam as inter-relações entre a linguagem verbal e visual em processos educacionais. É analisada uma experiência educacional não formal com adultos, na qual essas distintas linguagens compõem o objeto de estudo, por meio da criação, leitura de imagens e tradução interlinguística. Com base em investigações anteriores (Projeto TRANSARTE Transdisciplinaridade e Arte), relatos de experiência e princípios teóricos sobre o processo de tradução de Omar Calabrese, parte-se do pressuposto que estudos comparativos, intersemióticos, possibilitam não só a construção de saberes distintos simultaneamente, como permitem, por meio de analogias, a percepção tanto de similaridades entre as linguagens mas, igualmente, as diferenças que tornam possível distinguir características do campo do texto verbal, assim como do visual. Os dados qualitativos obtidos, por coerência, também pertencem tanto aos domínios do verbal quanto do visual: fotografias, registros escritos pelos participantes do grupo e um caderno de campo pela ministrante. Ao final, constatou-se que os participantes conseguiram fazer analogias entre as linguagens visual e verbal, exercitaram o processo de tradução e aplicaram conhecimentos por meio de analogias, tomando como base a teoria cognitivista de David Ausubel.
