No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 2011-08-26 / This work analyzes the sexual tourism, in the State of the Ceará, levered by the creation of a public image built by means of public politics and that seems to be glued to the idea of paradisiacal Brazil, and consequentially a sexual Brazil. The general objective is to analyze the sexual tourism in the Ceará vis-a-vis politics of dissemination of Brazil image outside the country, being aimed at this type of tourism and its consequences. To reach this main objective, we have elaborated other specific ones that say: to argue, historically, the idea of sexual exploration of the Brazilian women; to understand the sexual tourism in the perspective of the involved personages. A characteristic of this study is the field research, supported by Vergara (2006), that calls for a triangulation, that is, to the usage of distinct sources of collection of data. The relevance of this research is attached to the contribution in evaluating developed public politics in the Country and, in particular, the State of the Ceará. keywords: Public Politicies. Italians. / Esse trabalho analisa o turismo sexual, no Estado do Ceará, alavancado pela criação da imagem construída por meio da política pública e que, parece, ficou colada à ideia de um Brasil paradisíaco, consequentemente, de um Brasil sexual . O objetivo geral é analisar o turismo sexual no Ceará vis-à-vis políticas de disseminação da imagem do Brasil no exterior, visando este tipo turismo e suas consequências. Para atingir este objetivo, foram elaborados outros específicos que são: discutir, historicamente, a ideia de exploração sexual das mulheres brasileiras; compreender o turismo sexual na perspectiva dos personagens envolvidos. Uma característica desse estudo é a pesquisa de campo de caráter exploratório, apoiada na ideia de Vergara (2006), que se refere à triangulação, ou seja, à utilização de distintas fontes de coleta de dados. A relevância desta pesquisa se traduz pela contribuição na avaliação das políticas públicas desenvolvidas no País e, em particular, no Estado do Ceará. Palavras-chave: Política Pública.
