Společenská odpovědnost vysokých škol / University Social ResponsibilityKorimová, Kamila January 2016 (has links)
The first part of the diploma thesis aims at the problematic of social responsibility related with marketing. It depicts the development of this principle and the meaning of the concept. The abbreviation CSR is used for corporate social responsibility and it represents responsible acts and practices of a company to the environment and society in which it operates. The companies strive to reduce negative impacts of their activities as much as possible. The literature also solves an issue of social responsibility of universities which is still not clearly defined branch of social responsibility. The work determines various reasons on why the universities, as educational companies, should fulfil principles of socially responsible behaviour. The thesis also presents different interest groups, key activities and further principles of socially responsible behaviour of universities.
The second part of the diploma thesis processes a case study of several foreign universities performing socially responsible strategies. Different activities are identified and divided into sections which are subsequently compared with the socially responsible activities of Czech universities. The thesis also includes a data analysis of the data acquired from the questionnaire survey performed among students of universities. The survey is focused on the perception of socially responsible behaviour on universities. The work then proposes a procedure in introduction and selection of a suitable socially responsible strategy by a university.

EVALUATING USER-FRIENDLY DASHBOARDS FOR DRIVERLESS VEHICLES: EVALUATION OF IN-CAR INFOTAINMENT IN TRANSITIONAushij Singh (16650510) 01 August 2023 (has links)

The automotive industry has experienced significant digitalization in the past three decades, revolutionizing the way we interact with vehicles and enhancing our driving experience. Tech firms worldwide have been investing in autonomous driving technologies, gaining a competitive edge in the market. As our lives become more screen-centric, the demand for advanced in-car user interfaces has increased, leading to a growing focus on enhancing the overall driving experience and integrating seamless connectivity within vehicles. To ensure efficiency and safety, it is essential to design user interfaces that prioritize simplicity and reduce distractions. The autonomous driving capability has been observed across OEMs, making mobility efficient and safe while also being time efficient. Shifting to electric vehicles with autonomous driving aims to reduce emissions and promote electrification. Digitalization has become more prominent in the industry, focusing on user experience and convenience through innovative interfaces. As humans are vulnerable to mistakes, the market is becoming more competitive, with features like instrument clusters, steering wheel controls, and head-up displays (HUD) becoming common in modern vehicles. Advanced technologies like voice recognition and touchscreen interfaces are also becoming popular in the automotive industry, but they must run flawlessly to provide the best user experience. The advent of autonomous driving requires rethinking interface design principles. It investigates the transitions from traditional physical controls to touchscreens and voice commands by analysing the historical development of in-car infotainment systems. It addresses obstacles encountered during this evolution, such as user adaptation to novel interfaces and cognitive burden caused by information overflow. In addition, it examines the specific design considerations for autonomous mode dashboards.

Eco-Friendliness As A University Choice Factor : A Study Of Swedish Students’ Attraction Towards Linköping UniversityJafaei, Hesam, Lespinasse, Manon January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between eco-friendliness as part of University Social Responsibility (USR) and the impact it has on students and their attraction towards a university. Previous research have so far not investigated on such a connection due to a general focus on the private sector, companies and therefore Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). However, the literature is full of workable information, theories and conclusions through the acceptance of a specific model considering students as customers. It makes the assumptions being made within the private sector applicable to the public sector of the higher education. The latter is a driving force for any country’s economy by training and shaping a large number of future professionals and citizens. Yet, so far, barely any association has been made with another growing consideration of our developed economies: eco-friendliness and the protection of the environment. The present quantitative study seeks to find the existence of a positive impact of the implementation of eco-friendly measures by Linköping University on Swedish students, notably in terms of attractiveness. Our findings demonstrate that most of LiU Swedish students are attracted towards an eco-friendly university, around 44% of them consider eco-friendliness as a university choice factor and the performance of Linköping University (LiU) in this domain is largely appreciated. Therefore, LiU benefits from a positive public image through its eco-friendly profile. It thus enables and favors attractiveness among Swedish students, even if the latter is seen as improvable, notably through its advertisement since it is thought to be a possible competitive advantage.
