Intersecting the Maputo Fishery Harbour : architecture as threshold between fixed and fluid

This dissertation details the design of a fish processing and distribution building in the Fishery Port of Maputo. The ‘port’ is explored as a threshold between a city and the ocean and the perceived spatial permanence of city form is brought into dialogue with the constantly changing forces of the harbour across this threshold.
