Esta pesquisa visa avaliar os processos de catalogação das obras que compõem um museu de arte, tendo o MAC USP como estudo de caso e, como referências, as ferramentas de catálogos on-line, como a do MoMA, e as ferramentas utilizadas pelo Museu Nacional de Belas Artes do Rio de Janeiro (MNBA), pela Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo e pelo MASP, que fazem uso do sistema de gerenciamento Donato. Busca-se refletir sobre a gestão de coleções e os procedimentos de documentação das obras, incluindo o uso de fichas catalográficas. / This research aims to evaluate the cataloging processes of the works that comprise an art museum, focusing on MAC USP (Contemporary Art Museum of University of São Paulo) as a case study. Online catalog tools, such as of the MoMA (The Museum of Modern Art, New York), as well as the Donato collection management system, used by the National Fine Arts Museum of Rio de Janeiro (MNBA), the Pinacoteca of State of São Paulo and the MASP (Art Museum of São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand) were considered as reference. It is expected that this study will contribute to reflection upon the management of collections and the procedures for documentation of art works, including the use of catalog cards.

As criações recentes da música popular, do teatro e do cinema são submetidas a um balanço enquanto a literatura não recebe o mesmo tipo de abordagem crítica. Investigar as motivações e desdobramentos de tal postura por parte da revista é a principal proposição desta pesquisa, que busca desenvolver a seguinte hipótese: um vasto conjunto de ensaios publicados na Revista USP compõe um mosaico, no qual a reflexão acerca da literatura brasileira se configura através da constituição de um eixo monumental, formado por Memórias póstumas de Brás Cubas, de Machado de Assis e Grande sertão: veredas, de João Guimarães Rosa. Estas duas obras sustentam e demarcam os limites do cânone proposto pela revista, que posiciona a obra de Guimarães Rosa como última baliza do ciclo criativo da literatura brasileira. Entretanto, é possível perceber algumas sombras que conturbam o desenho nítido do referido eixo. A primeira delas é Grande sertão: veredas enquanto texto neobarroco e a segunda é uma antologia de poesia brasileira publicada na revista Universidad de México. This thesis tries to configure the space occupied by literature in Revista USP magazine, starting from the reflection about the art produced in the 80's and 90's. The popular music, the theater and the movies are submitted to an evaluation of their recent creations while the literature does not receive the same kind of critical approach. Investigating motivations and consequences of this attitude is the main proposition of this research, which intends to develop the following hypothesis: a great amount of texts published in Revista USP composes a mosaic, in which the reflection about Brazilian literature configures itself through the constitution of a monumental axle, formed by Memórias póstumas de Brás Cubas, written by Machado de Assis and Grande sertão: veredas, by João Guimarães Rosa. These books mark and support the limits of the canon proposed by the magazine, which considers Guimarães Rosa's narrative as the last sign of creativity in Brazilian literature. Although, it's possible to perceive some shadows that disturb the clearness of this axle. The first one is Grande sertão: veredas seen as a "neobarroco" text, and the second is an anthology of Brazilian poetry published at Universidad de México magazine.

(CERTEAU, 2011, p. 46). Com esse questionamento extraído da obra A Escrita da História, de Michel de Certeau, sobre a busca daqueles dedicaods a História da Historiografia para o que está além do produto da história, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo demonstrar a significativa contribuição da Revista de História da Universidade de São Paulo entre os anos de 1950 e 2016 para o desenvolvimento da historiografia brasileira. Por meio do estudo de caso, utilizando principalmente uma análise comparativa, apontar-se-á como o impresso acadêmico-científico, Revista de História, contribuiu para a construção de uma rede rizomática de relações, não somente acadêmica, mas também de poder, interconectando pessoas, instituições e saberes, com o pioneirismo no campo periódico científico universitário do conhecimento histórico no Brasil, que até o momento de sua origem possuía uma grande aridez.

A doação de obras do espólio de Yolanda Mohalyi apresenta-se como exercício para a compreensão do que representa a aquisição de coleções particulares para a constituição e a organização de um acervo especializado em arte contemporânea. O estudo sobre a incorporação do espólio de Yolanda Mohalyi pode contribuir para uma melhor compreensão sobre o perfil do acervo MAC USP e, principalmente, indicar a importância dos parâmetros adotados nos processos de doação e aquisição de obras de arte em acervos públicos. Através da análise da trajetória de Yolanda Mohalyi e de sua coleção doada ao MAC USP, em 1979 se torna possível identificar questões que envolvem os mecanismos de incorporação de obras, de manutenção das obras e de pesquisa das mesmas, assim como a definição do que se constitui um acervo e uma coleção. / The donation of Yolanda Mohalyi\'s legacy shows itself as an exercise for the comprehension of the meaning of the acquisition of private collections to the constitution and organization of a collection specialized in contemporary art. The study of the incorporation of Yolanda Mohalyi\'s legacy can contribute for a better comprehension of the MAC USP collection\'s profile and, above all, indicates the importance of the criteria adopted on the donation and acquisition of works of art in public collections. By analyzing the history of Yolanda Mohalyi and the history of her collection donated to MAC USP in 1979, it is possible to identify issues that involve the mechanisms of incorporation of works of art, their conservation and the research about them, as well as the way a Collection is constituted.

Essa tese trata do perfil dos museus universitários - sua origem, desenvolvimento e perfil atual -, com ênfase para os museus de arte. Procura definir o que seria um museu universitário modelo e busca identificar o quanto desse modelo existe na prática. Descreve a formação e as características dos museus da Universidade de São Paulo e dos museus universitários de arte no Brasil. Analisa a coleção e o museu de arte da Universidade de São Paulo - Coleção de Artes Visuais do Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros e Museu de Arte Contemporânea - diante do modelo proposto para museus universitários. E finalmente, discute a necessidade da Universidade de São Paulo possuir ou não essas coleções de arte. / This thesis addresses the profile of university museums - their origin, development and current profile– with emphasis on art museums. It attempts to define what a model university museum should be and to compare it to the existing situation. It describes the foundation and characteristics of the University of São Paulo museums and of university art museums in Brazil. It analyses the art collection and the University of São Paulo art museum - Visual Arts Collection of the Brazilian Studies Institute and the Contemporary Art Museum - in comparison to the university museum model proposed. And finally it discusses the need for those art collections in the University of São Paulo.

Class of 2011 Abstract / OBJECTIVES: To investigate if the drug content of several different antibiotic products, obtained in Mexico, fall within the USP specification range for a given drug. METHODS: Ten antibiotic products containing either amoxicillin, ampicillin, ciprofloxacin, or sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim were obtained from three random pharmacies in Mexico. The concentrations of the active ingredient(s) in these antibiotics were determined by high performance liquid chromatography, utilizing assays from the USP monographs for each drug. Weight variation within each product was also considered. Ten units from each product were analyzed. RESULTS: More than half of the capsules for each of the amoxicillin lots analyzed were outside of the acceptable USP limits (90-120% label claim) with the average calculated % label claim for each being 89.96 and 87.25%, respectively. One lot of ampicillin had two capsules out of range, while all of the capsules tested from the second lot were within the specification range. Both lots of ciprofloxacin passed. For the sulfamethoxazole/triemthoprim tablets, the sulfamethoxazole content for each lot was in range, however 20-30% of the units analyzed were out of range for trimethoprim. Interestingly, weight variation within each product was less than 3% RSD for all products, with the exception of the ampicillin lot which had two capsules out of spec (% RSD- 6.14). CONCLUSION: Most of the Mexican acquired antibiotics had content uniformity that fit within the USP guidelines. Although amoxicillin displayed significant variability, the capsules fell outside of the USP limits by a slim margin. While these findings are not a representation of all antibiotics obtained from Mexico, they do suggest the importance of continued research of the quality of internationally obtained products.
