Sammanbrott vid samhällsvård för ungdomar är ett förekommande fenomen. Denna studie bygger på litteratur kring ämnet där materialet bearbetats genom en innehållsanalys. Studiens syfte är att studera hur litteraturen framställer orsaker till sammanbrott i samhällsvård. Vidare är syftet att utforska vilka konsekvenser och effekter som uppstår vid sammanbrott i samhällsvård. I studien framkommer det att sammanbrott i samhällsvård är ett förekommande problem inom denna form av myndighetsutövning. Många av ungdomarna har upplevt fler än en placering under sin tid aktuella inom socialtjänsten. Vidare framkommer orsakerna till sammanbrott främst vara kopplade till ungdomens egen beteendeproblematik så som utåtagerande beteende eller psykisk ohälsa. Även när ungdomen inte initierar till sammanbrottet går fenomenet att indirekt relatera till ungdomen. Beträffande konsekvenserna för sammanbrott lyfts både positiva och negativa aspekter fram. Detta främst beroende på den definition av sammanbrott, undersökningsmetod och design som valts. Stabilitet, närhet och kontakt är dock de främsta kriterierna för om effekten av sammanbrott upplevs som positiv eller negativ. / Breakdown in out-of-home care for adolescents is an occurring phenomenon. This study is based on literature on the subject of where the material processed through a content analysis. The study aims to study how the literature presents reasons for the breakdown of out-of-home care. An additional purpose is to explore the consequences and effects arising from the breakdown of out-of-home care. The study found that the breakdown of out-of-home care is a frequent problem in this form of authority. Many of the adolescents have experienced more than one placement during their time in social services. Furthermore, the causes of the breakdown are mainly associated with the adolescents own behavior problems such as acting out or mental illness. Even when the adolescent’s not initiate the breakdown the phenomenon indirectly can be related to the youth. Regarding the consequences of the breakdown the study presents both positive and negative aspects. Depending on the definition of breakdown, the method and design the results of the consequences reveals different. Stability, proximity and contact are the primary criteria for the impact of the breakdown is perceived as positive or negative.
