By associating this to the studies of Mendonça (2006), Geraldi (1984, 1997), it may be stated that the Linguistic Analysis methodological proposal is the path in which language may be taught, considering not only formal aspects, but also as a complementary alternative to reading and written production practices. Such proposal provides a conscious reflection about grammatical phenomena, yet contextualizing them as textual / discursive phenomena. Considering that Linguistic Analysis involves not only the semantic level, but also the morphosyntactic level, we intend to verify: a) the contribution of semantic studies to the accomplishment of this practice; b) the occurrence of this in Brazilian universities entrance exams, named vestibular. Therefore, the corpus of this dissertation is constituted by eight questions extracted from Portuguese language vestibular exams which were applied in some Brazilian undergraduate institutions, namely: Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Federal University of Campinas (Unicamp), Federal University of Paraiba (UFPB) and Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA). The reason for having chosen such institutions resides in our interest to include all Brazilian regions. The corpus was not collected considering the importance of the exams in relation to the institutions where they are applied, but as representative data of the presence of Linguistic Analysis in this type of exam. In our qualitative analysis, we demonstrated that the exams questions explore the semantic level when the reflection upon the functioning of Lexical relations in the texts are demanded, such as synonymy and ambiguity, but also a reflection upon meaning effects of the grammatical constructions. In this research, we intended to demonstrate that reflection upon language, in the Linguistic Analysis terms, can be accomplished through the work with significance. / É consenso nos estudos da área da Linguística Aplicada que os documentos direcionadores versam sobre a necessidade de atividades reflexivas, de cunho epilinguístico, nas aulas de Língua Portuguesa. Associando isso aos estudos de Mendonça (2006) e Geraldi (1984, 1997), pode-se afirmar que a proposta metodológica de Análise Linguística é o caminho pelo qual a língua pode ser ensinada, considerando tanto aspectos formais quanto uma alternativa complementar às práticas de leitura e produção de texto, dado que possibilita a reflexão consciente sobre fenômenos gramaticais, porém contextualizando-os como fenômenos textuais/discursivos. Partindo do entendimento de que a Análise Linguística envolve o nível semântico, além do nível morfossintático, buscaremos verificar: a) a contribuição dos estudos semânticos na efetivação desta prática; b) a ocorrência disso nas provas de vestibular. Portanto, o corpus desta dissertação é composto de oito questões extraídas de provas de vestibular de Língua Portuguesa, aplicadas em instituições de ensino superior brasileiras: Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT), Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG), Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), Universidade de Campinas (Unicamp), Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB) e Universidade Federal do Maranhão (UFMA). Tais escolhas se devem ao fato de ser nosso interesse buscar um demonstrativo de todas as regiões brasileiras. Justifica-se tal corpus não pela valoração dos exames quanto às instituições em que são realizados, mas por se constituírem dados da presença da Análise Linguística nesse tipo de avaliação. Em nossas análises, de cunho qualitativo, mostramos que as questões das provas exploram o nível semântico quando é exigida a reflexão sobre o funcionamento das relações lexicais nos textos, tais como a sinonímia e a ambiguidade, como também a reflexão acerca dos efeitos de sentido das construções gramaticais. Buscamos mostrar, com esta pesquisa, que a almejada reflexão sobre a língua, nos termos da Análise Linguística, pode se efetivar por meio do trabalho com a significação.
