Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro / Os principais propósitos desta dissertação consistem em estudar a história do aparato tecnológico que envolve a fotografia e sua relação com o imaginário e a produção de subjetividade; refletir sobre a possibilidade de uma fotografia de caráter conceitual, questionando os pressupostos característicos da fotografia tradicional e das formas de representação na contemporaneidade; pesquisar através da produção de obras e de análises de obras de outros artistas a delimitação de uma experiência que inclui os processos técnicos que ela envolve de forma prática e conceitual; e, finalmente, realizar uma pesquisa artística em fotografia envolvendo ações culturais e seus desdobramentos no tempo, em uma duração, procurando examinar como isso se reflete na materialidade fotográfica / The main purposes of this dissertation are: to study the history of technological apparatus that involves the photography and its relation to the imaginary and the production of subjectivity; to reflect on the possibility of a photograph of conceptual character, questioning the characteristic assumptions of the traditional photography and the ways of representation in contemporary; to research - through the production of art works and reviews of works of other artists - the delimitation of an experience that includes the technical processes that it involves in a practical and conceptual maner,and how these layers of meaning relate within the context of contemporary art; and finally, to conduct an artistic research on photography involving cultural actions and their developments over time, in a duration, looking to examine how this reflects in the photographic materiality
