Estas tecnologias e recomendações foram testadas e verificadas com os usuários desse protótipo / Abstract: Geographic information is a consolidated reality for everyday Internet users, in the use of location maps of streets, satellite images for the purpose of entertainment and leisure and in professional and research environments, which show the territorial divisions, zoning and land use. The popularization of Internet access is increasing number and diversity of users who use land management systems on the web implemented as WebGIS applications. Traditionally, these applications are designed with features for experts in geographic information systems (GIS), but they should be used by experts in a particular domain, such as agro-energy, which are not necessarily experts in GIS. This work presents a proposed redesign of a WebGIS application to extend to this user from a specialist field increasing perceptions of geographic information available in their dynamic maps. To this end, we chose a set of technologies to access spatial data, interaction devices used in the user interface of geographic information systems, and a set of guidelines based on the techniques of cartography visual perception and theoretical semiotics employed in the evaluation and inspection of WebGIS user interfaces generating a set of recommendations. These recommendations were iteratively appended in a WebGIS prototype for decision making support in the infrastructure of sugar cane agro-energy. These technologies and recommendations have been tested and verified with the users of this prototype. The work results include: a proposal of an iterative redesign of WebGIS application that provided indications that the use by non-expert users was facilitated; the survey and verification of technologies to access spatial data and interaction devices; the survey and verification of a set of recommendations for the map representation and the inclusion of a component of accessibility for the WebGIS application / Mestrado / Interação Humano-Computador / Mestre em Ciência da Computação
