The research aggragatessocio to the effort to call attention to the forms of resistance undertaken by its embers regarding the demarcation of their lands and cultural practices performed in daily life, in the socio-spatial dynamics which reaffirms their identity and collective memory of that ethnic group. Thus, the territory and territoriality, in Cabanas dos Criolulos, assume a meaning of ethnicity and history, as its members share a common origin. From the theoretical and methodological point of view, we seek an interdisciplinary dialogue from the Geography and related fields, we highlight in this dialogue authors such as: Anjos (1997), Arruti (2005), Raffestin (1993), Haesbaert (2004), Ratts (2003), Gerrtz (1989) and Reis and Gomes (1996). Apart from the archival and bibliographical research, it was indispensable the field work, as a tool to understand and interpret better the area studied, allowing a better understanding of the social reality of the researched subjects. As a result of research, it was verified that women play different roles within the community, whether in domestic, social and religious spaces, but mainly transmitting some aspects of memory which reaffirms the group identity, through cultural practices experienced in teh daily life of their members. / Este estudo tem como objetivo interpretar as práticas culturais da comunidade de Caiana dos Crioulos, a partir das atividades camponesas, buscando compreender a territorialidade étnica, com destaque para a figura da mulher quilombola na construção da identidade étnica do grupo. A pesquisa agrega-se ao esforço de dar visibilidade às formas de resistência exercidas pelos seus membros, no tocante à demarcação de suas terras e das práticas culturais exercidas no cotidiano, nas dinâmicas sócio-espaciais que reafirmam sua identidade e a memória coletiva desse grupo étnico. Nesse sentido, o território e a territorialidade, para Caiana dos Crioulos, assumem um significado de pertença étnica e histórica, visto que seus membros compartilham uma origem em comum. Do ponto de vista teórico metodológico, buscamos um diálogo interdisciplinar a partir da geografia com áreas afins, destacamos nesse diálogo autores como: Anjos (1997), Arruti (2005), Raffestin (1993), Haesbaert (2004), Ratts (2003), Gerrtz (1989) e Reis e Gomes (1996). Além da pesquisa documental e bibliográfica, foi imprescindível o trabalho de campo, como ferramenta para melhor compreender e interpretar o espaço estudado, possibilitando melhor apreensão da realidade social dos sujeitos da pesquisa. Como resultado da pesquisa, verificamos que a mulher desempenha diversos papéis dentro da comunidade, seja nos espaços domésticos, sociais e religiosos, mas principalmente em transmitir alguns aspectos da memória que reafirmam a identidade do grupo, através das práticas culturais vivenciadas no cotidiano de seus membros.

(anglický) The presented master's thesis focuses on the visual representation of the natural and cultivated female body, responding to the hygienic, eugenic and aesthetic requirements of the newly created state. In addition to strengthening the modern national identity, it was to form and represent a positive image of the new womanhood that resulted in the project of a civilized woman in the late 1920s. The new social arrangement required a new type of modern man, and therefore also of a woman. Within it, two seemingly unrelated areas merged - science and visual culture, which pursued to define the ideal of the modern female body: beautiful, healthy, morally and aesthetically appealing. The image of a woman doing sports became the emblem of the newly formed republic. The female body gained added aesthetic value, it became a new ornament and communicative sign, infiltrating into the visual culture beginning with advertising and culminating in fine arts. We focus on the role of modern dance and the personality of Milča Mayerová, a prominent First Republic dancer and symbol of a modern woman, who reflected the changing requirements of the time with her visual representation and publishing activities.
