I detta examensarbete har vi undersökt några av byggstenarna i ett skivbolags verksamhet som också utgör grunden för deras inkomster. Resultatet av arbetet blev en påbörjad produktion och marknadsföring av en skiva och en plan för lanseringen av densamma. Genom detta har vi skapat oss en praktisk erfarenhet av arbetslivet i musikbranschen. Arbetet har dessutom genomförts med en för ändamålet låg budget. Vi har även undersökt olika marknadsföringsmöjligheter och intervjuat två yrkesverksamma personer i detta ämne.

With abroad education of arts, textiles and nowthe upholstery there were nota long step to become interested inthe visual withinthe upholstery trade. I have chosen to highlight the shapethe world with boththe artist and thecraftsman's eye. I have explored hownew expressions canbe created from traditional methods and materialsfrom upholstery andrelated crafts suchas tailoring for Royal andsaddler. These craftsmake up a webof technologies, materials,and to some extent tool returns and borrowed.By looking at afew items fromthese crafts haveI let myself beinspired and made ​​use of knowledgehow to buildforms and eventransfer them tonew areas inan aesthetic andartistic direction. The result is fourcushions which relateto the free professionsand traditions of our craft history.The visual depictionof each ofthe cushions is essentially based onone of thesubject I havestudied: a 16oo-century costume, a1700s bed orbridal saddles fromthe early 1800s. But on techniques and materialsI have seen thestudied handcrafts as a smorgasbordof possible solutions. / Med en bred utbildning från konst, textil och nu även tapetsering var inte steget långt att intressera sig för det visuella inom tapetseraryrket. Jag har valt att synliggöra formvärlden med både   konstnärens och hantverkarens ögon. Jag har utforskat hur nya uttryck kan   skapas utifrån traditionella metoder och material från möbeltapetsering och närbesläktade hantverk såsom hovskrädderi och sadelmakare. Dessa hantverk bildar som en väv av tekniker, material och i viss mån verktyg som återkommer och lånas. Genom att titta på ett fåtal objekt från dessa hantverk har jag låtit mig inspireras och utnyttjat kunskapen hur man kan bygga former och rent av överföra dessa till nya områden i en estetisk och konstnärlig riktning.   Resultatet är fyra sittdynor som förhåller sig fritt till yrkenas traditioner och vår hantverkshistoria. Den visuella gestaltningen hos var och en av dynorna bygger huvudsakligen på ett av de föremål jag studerat: en 16oo-talsdräkt, en 1700-talssäng eller brudsadlar från tidigt 1800-tal. Men beträffande teknik och material  har jag sett de studerade hantverken som ett smörgåsbord av möjliga lösningar.

The subject singing in elementary school changed its name to music in 1955 and with the name change followed a change in the content of the topic. In my study, I examine the perspective of how song as a subjekt has changed in the basic school curriculum texts. As a complement to text analysis, I used interviews in which two music teachers with long service in primary school were interviewed. My survey shows that there has been a clear change of the contents of concept song from being a pure skill where the aim was the vocal line benefits in different contexts and is today a vocal expression that can be embodied in many different ways. Curriculum texts have not been crucial to the changing content of the concept song. The change is more a consequence of a number of other factors such as teachers education, music, substance identification in school and social changes that led to a more postmodern approach the knowledge concept. / Sångämnet i folkskolan bytte namn till musik 1955 och med namnbytet följde en förändring av innehållet i ämnet. I min studie undersöker jag hur perspektivet på sång har förändrats i grundskolans läroplanstexter. Som komplement till textanalysen har jag använt mig av intervjuer där två musiklärare med lång tjänstgöring i grundskolan har intervjuats. Min undersökning visar att det har skett en tydlig förändring av innehållet i begreppet sång från att ha varit en ren färdighetsträning där syftet var den sångliga nyttoaspekten i olika sammanhang till att idag vara ett vokalt uttryck som kan gestaltas på många olika sätt. Läroplanernas texter har inte varit avgörande för det förändrade innehållet i begreppet sång. Förändringen är snarare en konsekvens av en rad andra faktorer som lärares utbildning, musikämnets legitimering i skolan och samhällsförändringar som inneburit ett mer postmodernt förhållningssätt till kunskapsbegreppet.

Den teoretiska utgångspunken för undersökningen är det sociokulturella perspektivet. Undersökningen vilar på en kvalitativ forskningsstrategi. Uppsatsen synliggör de möjligheter och utmaningar som ett samtida konceptuellt platsspecifik konstbegrepp innebär för bildämnet.  Undersökningen är utförd på material från studenter som gått kursen Samtidkonst i pedagogiskt perspektiv vid Linnéuniversitetet. Resultatet baseras på en kvalitativ analys av insamlade rapporter, bildmaterial och skriftliga svar på utskickade frågor. Resultatet ger att det samtida konceptuella bildkonstbegreppet skulle kunna innebära en mer tolkningsinriktad lärprocess i interaktion med medierande verktyg och därmed kunna belysa komplexa mänskliga fenomen eller samhällsstrukturer. Det platsspecifika bildkonstbegreppets metoder skulle kunna användas för att arbeta med samhällsorienterade frågor och ämnesintegrerat. Det samtida konceptuella konstbegreppet kan förändra bildämnet i skolan genom att ge alternativa tolkningar av vad konst kan vara. Bildämnet skulle också kunna bli mer analyserande eller diskursivt kulturanalytiskt. Den meningsskapande aktiviteten i sociala och kulturella situationer skulle också kunna medvetandegöras. Descartes sharp distinction between body and mind has had a severe influence on the culture of the western world. We now have a constructed system of knowledge that discards perception asunreliable and instead admits only deduction as the adequate method of understanding oursurroundings and ourselves.But what are we, if not human?And what would our lives be like without our dreams, the passions of our hearts and the sensationsof our sense organs?Irrational as it all may seem, these aspects form our existence, giving us pleasure, experience andknowledge beyond what we plan or try to predict. It is the fuel that keeps us going, fighting, loving.So how come we seek to explain everything? How come we seek the approval of others in matters we should be confident enough to judgeourselves? Why can't we embrace all the aspects of what it means to be alive? I state that the society and culture of the western world offers great possibilities for expression andcommunication. I see these matters as deeply rooted in our nature and history. But the world oftoday also tends to disrupt and distort the private areas of our lives. These are the areas where weneed to feel safe, where we should maintain our lives in order to be able to distinguish ourselves as individuals and take part in the public realm. There is no balance nor line between these two anymore, and in this text I explore possible reasons for this situation and some possible ways to restore and renew the value within the realms of our lives.

Today outer –often opposing- influences are endless; varying from contact with group features such as cultural, economical, national distinctions to differences in individual religious beliefs, sexual behavior, political views, ecological consciousness, etc. … Being confronted with this otherness leads to a crumbling, an unsettling notion of the known, the established values which throughout time were thought to have become one’s own; leading to confusion and resulting in the questioning of the self. A learning and growing process which does not become easier with all the changes in our contemporary Western society… How do we, contemporary Western human beings deal with the apparent freedom and insecurity we are confronted with in our society?The essay starts off by looking at some of the major shifts in our contemporary society. A first important change is the space-time compression. The consequences of this shift, such as the dissolving of nations, hybridizing of national identities, globalization and theuncertainty it brings forth, are explored from different angles.Fast-moving trends have caused a confusion of beliefs and identities and as there is not one principle provided, one has to learn to grasp the contrasts. Today there is a taste for heterogeneity, causing a shift towards openness, inclusion and tolerance. Even though it is on its dispositions that contemporary society thrives, it also means that opposing extremes exist next to one another.In our ‘information society’ innovation of communication and knowledge occupy a significant role. Besides the confusion caused through the space-time compression, all truly transformative advances in knowledge bring along the downside of uncertainty and incalculability.Along with these ‘sources for uncertainty’, there is also a short look into possible certainties in contemporary life, since traditional religions and modern substitutes are not satisfactory and a strong belief in anything today seems rather improbable.A possible source for answers and improvements which is given are the humanities. They confront people with making judgments about the relationship between facts and values.It is important in creating awareness in an ‘information society’ since innovations are value-free. Humanities can have the ambition to bring people towards each other to take up new forms of identification that are open for collaboration and unity.
