PAVLÍKOVÁ, Dagmar January 2010 (has links)
Chicane is an up-to-date social problem which very often appears as a hidden phenomenon and it is difficult many times to be revealed and solved subsequently. This Diploma Work points out to the chicane problem area in broader context. The main goal of the Work is to compare the chicane occurrence at primary schools in the regional city and other local towns with population number up to one thousand five hundred inhabitants. A factual investigation focus is based on a long-term cooperation with the SOS Archa Centre which implements preventive programmes at primary schools in Plzeň and the Plzeň Region. Results of the investigation provide a statement of present status of the chicane problem area in the region and at the same time they discover the riskiest group of pupils who a successive intended focus of the preventive programmes shall be aimed at. Theoretical part of the Work defines the term ``chicane{\crqq}, it describes its evolutionary phases, its exposures, characteristics of aggressors and victims as well as possible chicane consequences. Further on, it outlines appropriate steps leading to chicane analysis and its precaution. From the sociology point of view, a quantitative research was carried out and a method of anonymous questionnaire was used for data collection. Any obtained data were processed in the way of secondary analysis. Pupils of the first and second stage of two primary schools in the regional city and two primary schools in local towns whose population number is below one thousand five hundred presented an essential file of the research. It resulted from the research there were more children involved in chicane in a smaller town than in bigger one. Herewith the original hypothesis was refuted. The research results showed subsequently that the riskiest group endangered by chicane were boys of the second stage of primary school in local towns. The research will be used by the SOS Archa Centre for targeted and natural integrating of the above preventive programmes of schools.

Konceptualizace důvodů šikany z pohledu dětí / Conceptualization of Reasons of School Bullying from Children's Perspective

Mládková, Šárka January 2013 (has links)
The area of bullying has been quite well mapped, although it would appear that the research into this field has been done mainly in quantitative form. The aim of this thesis is to approach the issue from a different angle and to explore the students' point of view of the reasons for the occurence of bullying while using the qualitative form of research. For this purpose, individual interviews with sixteen seventh grade students from a basic school in Prague were conducted and subsequently analysed with the use of the open coding method. The results show that students themselves perceive bullying as a considerably individual concept. The students define bullying in terms of various negative events which are common among peers but in addition they discuss other conditions, such as recurrence, permanency and notably the feeling of being a victim, a key aspect in the definition of bullying and the use of the term itself. Various reasons for the occurence of bullying are presented in the interviews and can be divided into three categories based on whom the inception of bullying can be attributed to. As for the agressor, the explanations arise from a bad relationship with the victim, envy, revenge, satisfaction, a social status struggle or family and personal problems. The victim's reasons mentioned are...

Dětská šikana a právo / CHILD BULLING AND THE LAW

SMOLA, Zdeněk January 2009 (has links)
The main reason for undertaking this analysis and synthesis of the findings into the present state of the socio-pathological behaviour of child bullying is the unsatisfactory and complicated situation we find when dealing with this phenomenon. When examining the subject of school bullying in the first instance (within a school), the basic problem is the definition of bullying. We can only use a definition which is acceptable by all three basic subjects: the pupil, the school and the legal guardian of the child. Criminal law does not recognize the definition of bullying as such. The explanation of the actual situation is specifically given in this thesis. Even the definitions quoted by the experts and those found in specialized literature cannot be taken as the final words because they can be easily questioned and undermined. This subject cannot be catigorized by anyone and this based upon the grounds that another of version of the definition of the term can be preferred. This thesis also pays attention to criminal law, as well as finding the means for the prevention of bullying and further education on this subject, as they are all essential parts in combating this socio-pathological phenomena. The qualitative research has been aimed in gathering the relevant information concentrated in the following specific areas: that of primary education, the statistics from the Police of the Czech Republic and also upon the data gathered by the Sdružení Linka bezpečí (the Czech Telepohne Line for Children), as well as the Probation and Mediation Services in Třebíč Region. This research also includes national statistical data from the Police of the Czech Republic and chosen NGOs. To support the finding that have been collected, this data cannot be generalized. Therefore it is necessary to observe certain legal conditions which prevent the objectivity of this research. This mainly concerns the data regarding the perpetrators (aggressors) of bullying who are minors, even though there is no doubt that they are guilty of the crime.

Domácí násilí z pohledu studentů Zdravotně sociální fakulty Jihočeské univerzity / Domestic Violence from the Perspective of Students at Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of University of South Bohemia

TUZOVÁ, Aneta January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of domestic violence. At present, we speak about domestic violence more often, however, education is always a significant benefit, because stereotypical assumptions still remain in our society. They are often one of the obstacles which result in the impossibility to eliminate this socially pathological phenomenon. In the theoretical part of the thesis I describe the current status, forms, signs, progress, and the most common myths and prejudices of the public on the issue of domestic violence. In conclusion of the theoretical part I focus on prevention of socially pathological phenomena, and helping the victims. For this diploma work were established the following three hypotheses: H1: "Students at University of South Bohemia perceive the aggressor as the initiator of domestic violence." H2: "Students at University of South Bohemia perceive the aggressor as an uneducated person." H3: "Students at University of South Bohemia are convinced that domestic violence is more frequent with another ethnicity." In the empirical part I characterize the selected group. The research involved a total of 512 students. They include 450 women and 62 men. They were the students of Bachelor's and Master's study programmes of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at University of South Bohemia, in full-time and extramural form of study, and different age categories. The research was lead by the method of quantitative research, using a questionnaire survey with the semantic differential. Students had the opportunity to write down their positive or negative view of the victim and the offender or to remain impartial. The aim of the thesis was to find out the opinions and attitudes of students attending Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at University of South Bohemia to the victim and perpetrators of domestic violence. Most commonly, the students perceive the victim as a submissive, introverted, timid woman, who is not satisfied with this situation. They perceive the perpetrator as a dominant individual, who tends to jealousy. The stated hypothesis H1 has been confirmed. Hypotheses H2 and H3 have not been confirmed, and as a result, the alternative hypotheses have been accepted.

The diploma thesis deals with the problem of aggressiveness and chicane among children at the second level of basic schools and its prevention in the Pilsen region. Further on it is also concerned with the teachers´ perspective and their awareness of the topic of chicane. In the theoretical part I am going to analyse the fundamental terms of the topic. The attention is going to be localized on the personality of the aggressor and the victims of chicane, on the cooperation of the school and parents, on the authority of the teacher or class and school climate. There is going to be a special chapter devoted to the description of the system concerning the prevention of the chicane. In the practical part I am going to endeavour to find out by the help of a questionnaire survey, how the schoolchildren are informed about the chicane and what kinds of form are used to this purpose. I compare these results with the theoretical knowledge.
