Přechod žáka na jinou školu jako možnost řešení problému šikany / Pupil transfer as a solution to bullying problem

This diploma thesis is about the pupils who have been victims of bullying during their studies at the primary or the secondary schools and who have been forced to transfer to another school because of this problem. The aim of this diploma thesis is to make a preview into the problematic of bullying related to the transfer of the pupil to another school, further off submit the overview of the factors, which can influence the success of this particular solution of the bullying issue. The first part of diploma thesis focus on explanation of the ground concepts related with bullying, as the personality of aggressor and victim, directions and forms of the bullying on the school, development of bullying and participators of it. The second part is about the consequence and the prevence of bullying. In the third part are mentioned previous researches related to repetition of bullying at the same actors and further off there is submitted comparison of individual case reports. The method of research was case study, in which was analyze and compare statements of respondents, who happend to be bullying during their schooling and transfer on the another school. The diploma thesis deals with parents view on the issue of bullying. Special attention is specifically paid to parents of children, having real experience with bullying. First is defined concept of bullying in the theoretical part of dissertation. Another chapter deals with the main protagonists of bullying and special attention is paid to the causes leading to the bullying occurrence. There are also taken into account warning signals of the victims and aggressors, which can be recognized and can warn parents and teachers. Finally there is a part concerning to the solution of this big problem both at school and at home. The theoretic part also discusses the possible consequences, that the problem is ignored. Last chapter is about the prevention at school and at home. The main focus of the research part is to find out, how parents of the bullied children look at this problematics. Quality research based on semi-structured interviews has shown that most respondents didn´t note warning signs. It can be due to the fact, that parents don´t have enough time for children at the present time and don´t also pay them enough attention. They learned about the bullying problem from other sources and they began more interested in communication with children after discovering of problems. They argue for opinion, that family don´t have an impact on bullying and they suppose the main reason is the temperament of the child. The research has also shown parents dissatisfaction with access of schools to this problem.

Šikana na prvním stupni základní školy / Bullying in the lower grades of Elementary school

The thesis deals with the issue of bullying at the primary level of the elementary schools from the point of view of the experienced teachers that have encountered this kind of situations in their practice. The thesis consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part brings latest news from the foreign and local bibliography. It describes causes, forms, participants of bullying, and there is a comparison of different kinds of solutions. Last but not least it proposes a wide range of preventive methods. The practical part is based on case studies of the interventions of bullying in the primary school which are realized through semi-structured interviews with five teachers from different countries with different backgrounds who dealt with bullying in their practise. The results present different techniques which involved people in the intervention use to efectively solve the cases and on the other hand what slows the proces of healing down and how to overcome these obstacles. Which steps were done in the classroom and which methods of prevention teachers use. This paper includes a discussion about the difference of dealing with bullying in Czech and foreign schools. Specifika násilí páchané na ženách bez domova / The specifics of violence against women without shelter

The diploma thesis is focused on the specifics of violence against the homeless women. The thesis is divided in theoretical and empirical part. Theoretical part is further divided into three chapters, structured from the general description of homelessness to the specifics of violence that is happening on the homeless women. The goal of the empirical part is also to identify barriers and preconditions for the solution of violence and recommendations for optimization of help with violence. The empirical part is based on two data sets, one of them is social workers/curators, second is homeless women. The research is qualitative and is conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews. In the final part of empirical research, a comparative analysis of both data sets is performed. From the analysis are derived the conclusions and recommendations on how to contribute to setting more effective means of solving violence against the homeless women.

My dissertation Alternatives of Home Violence Settling deals with various alternatives of how the home violence problems can be settled. The introductory chapter goes through the professional interpretation of the home violence term as well as causes, forms and specific signs of this violence type, being followed by description of its consequences and the myths which have gained a foothold in the general public. The home violence is characterized as a long-term, repeated and escalating physical, mental, or sexual cruelty to persons living in the common household; it takes place between close persons, adult family members, or also life partners. The victims, being exposed to long-term violence, lost their self-confidence, however, their fear and confusion increase; they also suffer from a good many various symptoms as depression, shame, decline of general state of health, or increased suicidal behavior. Chapter two focuses on the characterization of the home violence victims and delinquests as well. As to the victims, these can be everybody, irrespective of their education, age, social position or economic situation - women, seniors and handicapped persons as well as men. The diploma project called "Problems with Violence in School Educational Environment" is divided into the parts - Introduction, Theoretical Part, Empirical Part, Conclusion. The Theoretical Part is separated into the five chapters - Demarcation and Definition of Concepts, Division of Aggression, Shows of Children's Violent Manners, Shows of Adolescents' Manners, Resolution of Aggression. The Empirical Part of the thesis verifies set hypotheses and targets. It is investigated, what type of aggression teachers meet towards their own person in their occupation, whether they meet more with aggression of boys or girls. The attributes of aggressors are also researched - what school results they have according to their teachers, what sort of families they come from. There is monitored link between action games or action movies and possible connection with frequency of aggression.
