Akumulace uranu rostlinami kultivovanými v laboratorních podmínkách / Accumulation of uranium by plants cultivated under laboratory conditions

Buzek, Martin January 2010 (has links)
The ability to accumulate uranium was tested on 20 different cultivars and GMOs of Nicotiana spp. grown in Hoagland's hydroponic medium indoors. Apart from the accumulation and translocation of uranium in plants, the effects of genetic modifications and adaptations of hydroponic medium on the ability of plants to accumulate uranium were tested. N. glauca, N. tabacum cv. M 51 and GMO M 51 Pro seemed to be the best plants for accumulation of uranium. Concentrations of uranium in these plants grown in medium with 0,5 mM of uranium were as high as 31.28 mg/g dry weight in roots and 0.21 mg/g in upper parts. N. tabacum cv. La Burley 21 and GMOs TRI2 - T1 and TRI2 - T2 were tested for accumulation and translocation of uranium. Highest concentration was 72.49 mg/g in roots, 4 mg/g in stems and 1.1 mg/g in highest leaves for plants cultivated in medium with 1 mM of uranium. Absence of phosphate in the hydroponic medium resulted in increased accumulation of uranium.

Akumulace thoria a studium stresových odpovědí rostlin na jeho přítomnost / Thorium accumulation and study of stress responces of plants on thorium presence

Kufner, Daniel January 2011 (has links)
The ability of the accumulation of thorium and study of the stress responses on his presence was tested on a selected cultivar of tobacco, La Burley 21. Plants were cultivated in Hoagland's hydroponic medium under artificial light. Except to the ability of accumulation and distribution of thorium in the all parts of plant was investigated the effect of selected organic and inorganic additions on accumulation. Among organic substances included citric acid, tartaric and oxalic acid in their presence was observed the increase of thorium in all parts of the plant. Were also tested products from the diamine and polyamines (putrescine, cadaverine, spermine and spermidin). These substances, also known for their antioxidant activity in plants, had an impact on reducing the accumulation of thorium, especially in the root system of plants. The most important factor influencing the accumulation of thorium was the absence of phosphate ions in a hydroponic medium, which caused the rise of the concentration of thorium about several levels in all parts of the plants. The initial decrease of pH after additions of organic acids or addition of high concentrations of thorium and the gradual increase of pH during cultivation had proved significant. It was also compared the uptake of accumulation and distribution of...

Modelování akumulace a tání sněhu v povodí Bystřice v Krušných horách / Modelling snow accumulation and melting in the Bystřice River basin

Kutláková, Lucie January 2010 (has links)
Dealing with the issue of spring flood events is primarily based on their causes. It is therefore important to study the processes of snow accumulation and snowmelt especially in mountain areas where the development of snow water equivalent (SWE) is primarily observed. The snow water equivalent indicates amount of the water in the snow and thus represents a runoff volume during the spring melting period and demonstrates the flood risk potential. In this thesis the lumped modelling approach of the rainfall-runoff model HEC- HMS was used. The model was applied in the Bystřice River basin in the Ore Mountains where the field measurements of the snow cover and SWE is carried out. Applied temperature-index method is the well-developed method because it takes into account both the melting during precipitation and melting in the period without any precipitation and aims to capture snow energy balance by means of air temperature. Three winter periods (2006, 2008 and 2009) were simulated. The evolution of the snow water equivalent was observed and the agreement between observed and simulated hydrographs was assessed in the closure profile Ostrov. Published results show the influence of winter course and character on the model capability to simulate the snow water equivalent and runoff. The observed and...

Energeticky založený model akumulace a tání sněhu v jehličnatém lese a na otevřené ploše / An energy-based model accounting for snow accumulation and snowmelt in a coniferous forest and in an open area

Matějka, Ondřej January 2015 (has links)
An energy-based model accounting for snow accumulation and snowmelt in a coniferous forest and in an open area An energy balance approach was used to simulate snow water equivalent (SWE) evolution in an open area, forest clearing and coniferous forest during winter seasons 2011/12 and 2012/13 in the Bystřice River basin (Krušné Mountains). The aim was to describe the impact of vegetation on snow accumulation and snowmelt under different forest canopy structure and density of trees. Hemispherical photographs were used to describe the forest canopy structure. Energy balance model of snow accumulation and melt was set up. For forest sites the snow model was altered for accounting the effects of the forest canopy on the driving meteorological variables of the snow model. Leaf area index derived from 32 hemispherical photographs of the vegetation and sky was used for forest influence implementation in the snow model. The model was evaluated using snow depth and SWE field data measured at 16 localities in winter seasons from 2011 to 2013. The model was able to reproduce the SWE evolution in both winter seasons beneath the forest canopy, forest clearing and open area with correlations to observations ranging from 0.16 to 0.99. The SWE maximum in forest sites is by 18% lower than in open areas and forest...

Variabilita výšky sněhu v lokálním měřítku: Hodnocení vlivu topografie a vegetace / Snow depth variability at the plot scale: Assesment of topography and vegetation influence

Murdychová, Pavlína January 2015 (has links)
Snow depth variability at the plot scale: Assesment of topography and vegetation influence Abstract This master thesis deals with the evaluation of snow depth variability at the plot scale. It focuses on influence of topography and vegetation factors as slope, exposure, curvature, solar radiation and leaf area index. There is also assesment the impact of the size scale. Measurement was carried out in period of accumulation and snowmelt in winter 2014/2015 in the Krkonoše Mountains on Hanapetrova glade. To evaluate the effect of selected factors on variability of snow depth there was used multiple linear regresion and other descriptive statistical methods. The research shows that the variability of snow depth during the accumulation is greater in forest which is probably due to vegetation. The dependency was not confirmed by regression analysis. Higher variability of snow cover in the forest was also observed in the melting period. The variability of snow cover increased in the forest in general. The results show that the snow depth variability decreasses with increasing grid size. Keywords: snow accumulation, snowmelt, topography, vegetation, multivariate analysis

Sezónní dynamika obsahu manganu v bylinném patru, půdní a epigeické fauně

Bradáčová, Eliška January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to determine the level of manganese content and its seasonal dynamics in selected herbs and trees species and invertebrates in the period 2011--2013. Trial sites were located in the highly manganese contaminated ecosystem in Krušné hory mountains. The flora and fauna samples were being collected on a monthly basis. The level of manganese was determined by the AAS method. The highest level of manganese was found in the blackberry bush (Rubus caesius L.) and the raspberry bush (Rubus idaeus L.). The larch (Larix decidua Mill.) and the mountain ash (Sorbus aucuparia L.) were the most contaminated tree species. Majority of plants accumulates manganese during the vegetative period. The invertebrates showed lower level of manganese content than plants. The highest level was found in millipedes (Diplopoda) and isopods (Oniscoidea). Despite the really high concentration of manganese in the enviroment, none of the plants and invertebrates showed symptoms of toxicosis.

Model akumulace velkých objemů energie / Model of Bulk Energy Accumulation

Radil, Lukáš January 2008 (has links)
The purpose of this pursuit is to introduce the reader about the questions of the accumulation of the electric energy and to outline possibilities of its design and what instruments is possible to get it. The other purpose is to inscribe possibilities of today´s attachment of dispersive sources to the net from the sight of the ERU, eventually from the sight of the UCTE. This persuit describes the posibility of the accumulation of adequate dimensions from renewable resources, the modern trends in this area and the prediction of future progress. The two most proper types of the energy accumulation are chosen by the following process with regarding to the optimal resolution of the given questions. The general balance will be ana-lysed by the comparison of their basic parameters. The other point of this pursuit is to try to realize a small model of the accumulation through the hydrogen´s cycle, it comes to that we can develop the efficiency and influence by the help of the electrolyzer and the metalhydride reservoir is realized energy of accumulation . In the conclusion of this pursuit is the appreciation of the whole project with the view of partly economical and especially with the view of the prospective usage into the electric grid
