This work is focused on a mediation of grammar in teaching of the German language in primary schools. The main attention is paid to the declension of nouns. I chose for the comparison two completely different outlined textbooks. In view of the fact, that still quite a large number of primary schools teaches according to the textbook "Heute haben wir Deutsch", I decided to confront this textbook with its more modern successor "Deutsch mit Max" and determine whether the conception of modern textbooks differ from those older ones only graphic, i. e. with illustration, and themes that correspond to the age of pupils, or with regard to grammar (the other choice, progression and quantity of grammar structures), and thus are these textbooks more suitable for the current teaching of the German language. Subsequently are the results of this work compared with the views of pupils who are taught according to these textbooks.

The name of the thesis: Practical exercises using the theme of tropical and subtropical fruits in teaching natural history and biology describe the basic issue that the following text is devoted to. This thesis is connected to my bachelor thesis, "Tropical Fruit in Natural History and Biology Textbooks," defended in 2010. The main objectives of the thesis was to complete the contentual analysis of natural history and biology textbooks for the 2nd degree of primary schools, lower grades of grammar schools, and secondary schools. I focused on the issue of the incorrect inclusion of certain plants in chapters for tropical and subtropical fruits. Based on the total contentual analysis of textbooks, I have chosen the processing of practical exercises with the theme of tropical and subtropical fruits as the main objective. Based on the evaluation of the questionnaire, which served as a basis for practical exercises, in which teachers of natural history and biology were addressed, I was focused primarily on lab exercises, worsheets, proposals for project days, didactic games, and excursion worksheets, when creating the practical exercises. This diploma thesis concerns with the usage of books of English for increasing intercultural competences in pupils at basic schools. The theoretical part briefly outlines main documents which determine the teaching requirements. There are also mentioned contexts between multiculturalism and intercultural competences and why it is important to deal with multicultural education. The practical part concentrates on the research of multicultural specifics and it is divided into two main segments. The first one focuses on the comparison of three kinds of textbooks that are used for teaching English language and the second one is the practical example of multicultural education in English lessons.

This thesis deals with the analysis of accounting textbooks for secondary schools. The main aim of this thesis is to analyze three Czech, three Slovak and five Austrian textbooks on the basis of selected evaluation criteria. The subject of the analysis was to assess the didactic aspects, text difficulty and content textual analysis. All the assessed textbooks are currently widely used for teaching accounting at comparable types of secondary technical school finished by graduation exams: business academies in the Czech and the Slovak Republic and Handelsakademie in Austria. The comparison of the results is an integral part of the research. The secondary aim was to give recommendations to the contemporary authors of accounting textbooks.

I vårt arbete har vi undersökt hur perspektivet hållbar utveckling framträder i tre historieläroböcker för gymnasiet: Alla tiders historia Maxi, Perspektiv på historien A och Epos historia – För gymnasieskolans kurs A och B. Dessutom har vi, utifrån historiedidaktisk teori kring begreppet historiemedvetande, klarlagt i vilken utsträckning de undersökta läroböckerna kan utveckla elevers handlingsberedskap. Vår metod har varit hermeneutisk och i läromedelsanalysen har vi utgått från vår förkunskap om historien, en definition av hållbar utveckling samt teorier om historiemedvetande.Nedslagen som analyserats i böckerna har varit följande: upptäckterna, mellankrigstiden och svensk nutidshistoria. Resultatet visar att perspektivet hållbar utveckling gör sig gällande, dock i olika utsträckning beroende på nedslag och lärobok. Dessutom visar vi att det finns möjligheter att utifrån böckerna utveckla handlingsberedskap. För att ta tillvara på dessa möjligheter krävs lärare som initierar ett adekvat förhållningssätt till läroboken. Utifrån vad som visats i tidigare forskning, fordras således att läraren sätter ramarna för undervisningen och inte läroboken. / Through our studies we have investigated how the perspective sustainable development appear in three history text books for upper secondary school: Allt tiders historia Maxi, Perspektiv på historia A and Epos historia A – För gymnasieskolans kurs A och B. Furthermore, from the starting point in theories about consciousness of history, we have investigated to which extent the textbooks can develop students' readiness for action. Our method has been hermeneutic and in the analyses of the textbooks we have used our historical knowledge, a definition of sustainable development and theories about consciousness of history.The sections that have been analyzed in the textbooks are: the discovery of Americas, interwar period and Swedish contemporary history. The result shows that the perspective sustainable development is evident, to different extents depending on section and textbook. Furthermore, thus we show that there are possibilities on the basis of the text to develop readiness for action. In order to take full advantage of these possibilities demands a teacher that initiates an adequate approach to the textbook. On the basis of what previous research has showed, the teacher must decide the content of the education instead of letting the textbook do it.

Zwillingsformeln im Deutschen, Tschechischen und Englischen / Binomials in German, Czech and EnglishKALOVÁ, Michaela January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the topic Binomials in German, Czech and English. The theoretical part defines the basic terminology related to phraseology and phraseologisms. Furthermore, the theoretical part describes the definition and classification of binomials. The first part contains the gathered German binomials which are compared with their Czech and English equivalents using methods of contrastive phraseology which is described in the theoretical part. The expressions are compared on the basis of the classification of types of equivalence according to Helgunde Henschel (1993). In the second part are introduced results of analysis of textbooks and workbooks that correspond to reference levels A1 B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The aim of this part is to gather binomials and further analyse them. The third part focuses on presentation of preparation of one teaching lesson that includes binomials.

It is my wish, within the scope of this thesis, to assist teachers at secondary schools who are making a decision about the right choice of books for their stu-dents. It involves an analysis of available German textbooks for beginners, with regards to the choice of topics. In connection with my thesis I also prepared a questionnaire which was distributed among 50 students of secondary schools with the aim to elicit the point of view of the target group. The aim of this thesis is to assess the samples of German textbooks in the Czech market so that they correspond to the criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. For the analysis there has been chosen the sample of textbooks which appear commonly at Czech secondary schools. These include textbooks published by both Czech and German publishing houses, to be specific Německy s úsměvem nově, studio d A1, Sprechen Sie Deutsch? 1. and Themen aktuell 1. Originally I intented to analyse Tangram aktuell 1 instead of Themen aktuell 1 by the the same publisher, but since the first mentioned one is usually used for teaching, I decided for Themen aktuell 1. I have come to the conclusion that it is not possible to create an ideal textbook of either German or any other foreign language, because every student considers a different topic to be important, they have different values and motivation which drives them to learn a foreign language. That is also an implication resulting from the questionnaire in which students evaluated the importance of topics according to their own judgement and preferences.

This thesis is focused on the phylum Tardigrada. The main goal is to implement this topic into the curriculum of primary and secondary education. The thesis is divided in two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part comprises five basic topics: the general introduction to phylum Tardigrada and other moss fauna; extraction methods; analysis of textbooks for primary and secondary schools; and application of obtained knowledge about phylum Tardigrada in education. In this thesis, water bears are used as model organisms for creating practical suggestions for teaching methods and forms that can be used when implementing this theme into a teaching process. The empirical part presents the results of extensive study focused on the occurrence of Tardigrada in moss from variety of habitats in the Czech Republic and its implication for practical use. The theoretical part deals with characteristics of printed textbooks as didactical tools and as curriculum projects, including descriptions of textbook structures and their many functions. It acquaints with the methods used to mark and analyze textbooks, especially according to the evaluation criteria. The experimental part uses the questionnaires to show Informatic teachers' use and need of textbooks in the elementary schools in the Czech Republic. It also focuses on the mapping available in textbooks for ICT and computer-focused subjects used in Slovakia, Russia and the Czech Republic. It also conducts their content analysis and comparison using a quantitative method focused on the thematic tasks and activities of selected textbooks in consideration to the number of pages.
