Music, Singing and Dance in Arab Muslim Society: the View of Religious Authorities and Reality Nowadays The study concerns theoretic and empirical analysis of contemporary Arab Muslims attitudes towards the issue of music, singing and dance performance. The issue is viewed from the perspective of religious authorities in contrast with the view of ordinary Muslims and everyday reality. Firstly, the theoretical part notes down a wide response spectrum on the question of principle: are the above mentioned activities considered as permitted or prohibited in Islam? The points of view are grounded in excerpts of traditional Islamic texts and legal experts' opinions. The next part focuses on the elements of music, singing and dance that can be found in Islamic religious practice as well as the real significance of their role in it. The third and final chapter aspires to show the reality of everyday life in Arab Muslim society. With reference to the first part of the study, it aims to notice the divergence of opinion on this issue. The analysis is based on empirical survey, that notes down opinions and attitudes of a group of selected Arab Muslims. The questionnaire follows the customary methodology of sociological research. The thesis on comparing products to ensure the colloidal stability of white wines before bottling in the theoretical part examined the definition of colloid division of disperse systems and their relation to wine. Further described is the main cataracts occurring in wines and methods to prevent them, focusing on the practice of the most commonly used products: Metatartaric acid, gum arabic and carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). In the practical part of these products in different variations, combinations and concentrations added to white wine, which was a non-stabilized against the tartar and proteins. This wine was in the wake of bottling and variants of the same stored for one year in two different storage temperatures. In the course of storage was observed formation of cataracts in individual bottles. After a year all variants were opened and evaluated was total sensory analysis with qualification and quantification of turbidity, sediment filtration and weighing, measuring conductivity and pH. The results were statistically processed and evaluated with recommendations for practice.

This diploma thesis address the problem of Islam in Egypt's constitutional arrangements after the change of government caused by the Arab Spring. The main research question is whether Islam was used by political forces affect the new constitutional arrangement of Egypt and if so in what way. The task is to confront the idea that the influence of religion in Islamic society is disappearing . In addressing the research question was the method of analysis of the available literature and information. By performing analysis of the literature , we found that Islam has clearly still a significant impact on Egyptian society, it is used as a tool of political mobilization and mainly Islamic- oriented political parties push Islam into the state structures. The main finding of this work is that secularism as seen in the European sense, is applicable in Egypt only on condition separating Islam from politics and performing only the basic thought form within the state is built

The aim of this thesis is to analyse methods used in translation of the Arabic poetry written in a quantitative metre based on the syllable length to Czech, regarding its form and preserving, substitution or elimination of the classical Arabis metre, and to try to propose a new, alternative method of translation that would corresponded with demands of the Czech prosody but also would preserve - at least partially - some typical elements of the Arabic poetry. In the first part of this thesis the basic character of the Arabic prosody is explained and the two basic formal components of the Arabic metric poetry are introduced: the quantitative metre and the continuous rhyme scheme. Then, a comparison of the Arabic verse to several European systems is provided. In the second part, the existing Czech translations of the Arabic poetry are summarized, especially regarding the metric poetry, and the attention is also paid to the way in which the translators deal with the formal components of the translated verses. The crucial parts of this thesis are the third part and the forth part. The third part includes the overview of the possible ways to translate the Arabic metric poetry with regard to the metre and the rhyme scheme. This diploma thesis focuses on the minority Arab population in Khuzestan, Iran. The thesis is based on research conducted during the summer of 2014 in the province of Khuzestan. It is consisted of theoretical part as well as data taken during the research period. Additional data was taken from respondents via internet and social networks. The aim of the thesis is an objective analysis of the Arab community life in Iran. Research questions focus on the status of this minority, tribal organization of Khuzestani Arabs and preservation of their cultural identity and heritage. The first two chapters consist of the introduction and set the framework for the methodological basis. The third chapter provides geographical and historical information of this province. Acquaintance with the geographical and historical facts is necessary for better understanding of the character of the Arab community in Khuzestan. This thesis examines the theme of desert as literary environment in modern Arabic short story. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the short story's texts dealing with the desert. This topic will be approached in terms of semantic-symbolic analysis, which will be matched by the relationship between nature and the environment as a landscape, and nature as a source of mythological and fantastic ideas, which are reflected in the life of literary figures and story construction. The work includes a search for an answer to the question of what is the diference between the author who has direct access to the desert and the other one who deals with urban or other environments according to the geographic origin. The work is divided into three parts, which then develop symbolic, mythological and anthropological analysis of selected texts. The main topic of my thesis are audiovisual images of a new sort which spread across traditional media and internet video-sharing websites during the events of Arab revolutions in 2011. This amateur footage was made by direct participants of revolution events, not by professional journalist or documentarists. In my thesis I research these video-images in the context of imaging of political violence in the history with special focus on the history of war photography and journalism. My thesis investigates the role of new media and the internet in changes of the experience of watching audiovisual footage. Last part is an effort of classification of the amateur AV images of the Arab Spring and review of their significance in the context of contemporary documentary film and journalism.
