The work deals with the possibility of use the traditional knowledges and methods in construction with regards to today's lifestyle and technology, emphasizes the importance of the legacy, respect for countryside, individuality and surrounding environment. Above all I try to summarize the information about the current situation in architecture of family houses, which influence dominates in this area and which choices we have. I target especially the organic architecture mainly for wood constructions. At the beginning of the work I describe the issues of present architecture. I am dealing with the question if traditional and modern way of life must be in conflict, how we change our environment today and what could be the eventual effects for the future. The second part of the work is focused on the traditional vernacular architecture in South Bohemia, especially in the Bohemian Forest (Šumava) region, on types of construction, use and processing of materials and their integration into the countryside. The final part is applied to present ecology architecture. Firstly I summarize and identify the objects in general, subsequently I focus on the wood constructions, which correspond to traditional knowledge and experience in the manufacture and processing of wood.

We study the Embassy building of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, which received the 1971 Award of the Royal Institute of British Architects for the best newly completed building in London. We examine the building from an architectural point of view and chart its construction; we also place it in the broader context of Czech architecture built in the 60's to represent the State abroad. The main body of work in this context consists of the series of embassies designed by the circle of architects associated with Karel Filsak and Jan Šrámek. Today, these buildings are considered to be some of the finest examples of Czechoslovak architecture of that era. Given the Architecture Award bestowed on the Embassy, we also consider the building within the context of British architecture of the day. We chart the development of New Brutalism, defined as the style pioneered by the group of artists associated with Alice and Peter Smithsons, and we investigate the influence the New Brutalism had on the recipients of the RIBAAwards in the years 1965-1971. We find British as well as foreign influences in these buildings, drawing comparisons with the Embassy building. Master thesis describes an information systems and the problems of linking two independent systems within a multinational company operating in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The first part is theoretical and defines the concepts of system, information system, MRP and ERP systems and describes information systems architectures and integration architectures. Further is work focused on the description and analysis of the current situation of the company and defines a process of integration within an enterprise-wide SAP system supporting the processes of the company and system responsible for planning a production. Part of the thesis is proposal of interconnections between systems, which consists of diagrams and verified by simulation.

Práce se zabývá možnostmi, které poskytují současné prostředky IS/IT ke zlepšení práce a činnosti v nemocničním prostředí. Sumarizuje nejenom požadavky kladené na tuto práci současnou legislativou, ale zabývá se i nedostatky, které se zde v praxi vyskytují. Snahou práce bylo poukázat na tyto problémy z pohledu uživatele a současně se snaží navrhnout taková zlepšení, která by napomohla tento pohled zohlednit. V úvodu text popisuje společnost samu, její velikost a způsob jejího řízení. Poté se věnuje současným postupům, které jsou využívány při řízení informatiky, dopady ze strany současné legislativy a upozorňuje na nedostatky, které jsou uživateli zřejmé. V poslední části definuje příčiny problémů a navrhuje opatření, které pomohou k jejich odstranění. Tato opatření se dotýkají nejenom změn v rámci nasazení IS/IT, ale zároveň i celé organizační struktury, neboť současné vnímání této problematiky je v organizaci nedostatečné. Samotná opatření jsou navržena tak, aby respektovala princip ?průchodnosti? a možnosti nasazení v samotné organizaci.

Práce mapuje jednak to, na jakých základech stojí a čím se v současné době zabývá management některých českých lázní, jak v těchto lázních probíhá řízení a organizování. Dále se věnuje jednotlivým aspektům řízení a organizování ve společnosti Lázně Luhačovice, a.s. v kontextu českého lázeňství. Práce prezentuje teoretické poznatky o organizování a řízení na praktickém příkladě, nastiňuje určitý možný vývoj a doporučení pro zlepšení.

For the runtime phase of automated information system lifecycle is typical a frequent change of system quality requirements. Only systems that can adapt to these requirements are successful in its environment. The system change can be each time of different extensive. If it is necessary for satisfaction of new requirements to add, remove or change some system components and its relations than we talk about system architecture change. This action is so large-scale that it is very risky to implement it without appropriate control and management. This essay addresses these changes and its management. Main phases of the process and its activities are proposed. The suggestion is based on the development process of new systems and available literature from this area. The target of the essay is to offer a certain framework for the change process management. Introduction to iformation system architecture is the first part of the essay. The last part is then concerned in a practical example of information system architecture change and its evaluation.

In frame of this work is describe wider surroundings of organization, construction material of organization, management style and corporate culture and contemporary technology.

This thesis deals with problems of open source software and its usage in an organization. The thesis is divided into three main parts; first of them describes the definiton, history, characteristic and actual offer of open source software; second part moves us to the Public Administration world, where it surveys stage of implementation of open source software in some countries around the world and in the Czech Republic especially; third part uses gained finding from the previous parts to design application architecture to particular conditions of The University of Economics, Prague. First of the main goals of this thesis is to analyse possibilities of implementation of open source software instead of closed software. Next one is to chart the state of implementation of this type of software into Public Administration field in the Czech Republic and abroad. Last objective is to project application architecture with usage of open source software to particular condition of The University of Economics, Prague. These goals was achieved by studying many information resources, discussions with specialist, including of representatives of the state, about the given topics, and further analyse of current conditions of The University of Economics, Prague. Benefits of this thesis are especially compact view on open source software, further the survey of opinions of representatives of state, representatives of towns and next specialists on this type of software a its possibilities of usage in public administration. Last but not least benefit is to desing the application architecture to particular, rather complex, environment of The University of Economics, Prague.

This thesis deals with a field of information modeling and its relation to systems architecture. It is divided into two notional parts -- theoretical (first and second chapter) and practical (third and fourth chapter). First chapter explains the meaning of the term 'information model', compares it to the term 'data model' and then introduce its practical use in an enterprise modeling. It also defines the term of 'systems architecture' in its broad meaning and reduces it to three narrow meaning -- enterprise architecture, information architecture and information systems architecture, while it explains their relation to the information modeling. Finally this chapter provides the base for information model implementation methodology created later in the practical part of this thesis. Second chapter introduces architecture framework called TM Forum Frameworx specialized for a telecommunication services provider. It consists of three standards for business process, information and application architecture. The second one defines specific information model which is described partly in the second chapter and partly in the appendix B of this thesis. Third chapter describes the first of two contributions of this thesis - the information model implementation methodology. This methodology is applicable to any implementation of an information model. Three sections of this chapter contains diagrams and description of three phases of the methodology - pre-implementation phase, implementation phase and post-implementation phase. In the end of the chapter there is a table containing outputs of every single activity performed during all the phases. Fourth and last chapter then describes and evaluates real implementation of the information model from TM Forum Frameworx in the systems architecture department of an enterprise providing telecommunication services. This implementation based on the created methodology and its successful results then became the second contribution of this thesis.

The aim of the thesis is to define the term Self-service Business Intelligence. It is followed by an introduction of need of this technology in present information society. Thesis at last defines technologies and practices, which are applicable in most general situations. All defined recommendations are based on vast range of theoretical data sources. Second aim is to prove that all customers' requirements can be in specified case covered by functionality of Self-service BI solution. This proof is presented by an introduction of architectural proposal using chosen technological platform. This proposal is furthermore part of bigger elaboration, which by its content loosely follows all tasks present in the initial Case study.
