Design domácího systému pro hydroponické pěstování rostlin / Design of Domestic System for Hydrophonic Cultivation of Plants

Novotný, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
Research in the field of hydroponics from the second half of 20th century and 21st century described how the components of hydroponic systems are related to each other and established a basis for construction and operation of complex and reliable systems of hydroponic agriculture. These systems are predominantly constructed as means for mass production in agriculture or are built by individuals to be used in their garden or greenhouse. The role of design in production of these devices is rather limited. The goal of this work is to introduce hydroponics as a complex system of many interconnected parameters and to assess hydroponic systems from the perspective of design. The objective is to design such a solution that would incorporate all the elements that make up a hydroponic system and design itself. This design ought to respect not only the need to provide a suitable environment for plant growth but also the need of efficiency, ergonomics and design.

Automatization of test rig for microwave ovens

Cronborn, Jesper January 2013 (has links)
The thesis work is a part of a project where the major goal is to improve the efficiency of the evaluations of microwave ovens at Whirlpool Sweden AB. The purpose of the work has been to develop an automatic control and measurement system for microwave ovens. In an earlier thesis work, a test rig has been developed and this test rig has been further developed to an autonomous system. The software for this system is developed in LabVIEW and interfaces to some measuring instruments has been implemented for the system. As a plan for the programming work, UML-diagrams were created in Visual Paradigm To make it easy for the user to handle the system, a user interface has been created in LabVIEW. The system handles different XML-files: oven profiles and test profiles, which are defined by the user. An oven profile contains coordinates for specific positions at the front of a microwave oven, e.g. button positions and corners. There will be one oven profile per oven model. A test profile contains different stages with position names, operations and time delays. The position names are the names of the positions defined in the oven profile. The results from a measurement will be saved in a CSV-file.

Současný e-mailing společnosti Nutricia a návrh na jeho zlepšení / Current e-mailing of Nutricia and overtures for improving.

Valc, Pavel January 2014 (has links)
Objective is analyse current e-mailing of Nutricia and offer the best possible in automated e-mailing. Recommendations are based on possibilities of e-mailing tool Silverpop, which belongs to the best technologies of present days and which Nutricia chose for development of its e-mailing. Based on his experience as e-mailing specialist and operator of Silverpop author will recommend the best what is possible in today's e-mail marketing and adapt it for Nutricia business.Theory is concieved as syntax of sources making bright picture of today's e-mail marketing and there are written assumptions of successesfull e-mailing. In practical part there are analysis of Nutricia and its competitors and that is followed by summary of recommendations well founded on author experiences and Silverpop implementation companies know how.

Optimalizace logistických procesů v potravinářství / Optimalisation of logistic processes in food industry

Doktor, Martin January 2011 (has links)
The aim of my final thesis is to analyze logistics processes with regards to the specifics of foodstuff, their assessment and finding optimal solutions. The theoretical part analyzes the components of an integrated logistics chain. The practical part is focused on analysis of the logistics processes associated with the distribution of foods in Nespresso. Emphasis is placed on storage at the distribution center in Prague. Implemented KPIs demonstrate inefficiency of a current information warehouse management system and proposal to implement new one based on automatic identification.

Studie skladovací techniky a technologie pro vybraný podnik / Study of Storage Techniques and Technologies for a Selected Organization

Orvanová, Katarína January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of process automatization in the company ABB s.r.o, specifically in the warehouse 701, where the operated forklift is currently used. Based on the analysis, proposals are made to improve the current logistics processes taking place in the warehouse, to increase the quality of operations associated with the storage and removal of material, increase the use of labor capacity, improve workplace conditions, and increase occupational safety.

Dolování dat z příchozích zpráv elektronické pošty / Data mining from incoming e-mail messages

Šebesta, Jan January 2009 (has links)
In the present work we study possibilities of automatic sorting of incoming email communication. Our primary goal is to distinguish information about oncoming workshops and conferences, job off ers and published books. We are trying to develop tool to mine the information from data from professional mailing lists. Off ers in the mailing lists come in html, rtf or plain text format, but the information in it is written in common spoken language. We are developing the system so it will use text mining methods to extract the information and save it structured form. Than we will be able to work with it. We are examining the handling of the mails by user and apply the knowledge in the development. We solve the problems with obtaining of the messages, distinguishing language and encoding and estimating the type of message. After recognition of the bearing information we are able to mine data. In the end we save the mined information to the database, which allows us to display it in well{arranged way, sort and search according to the user needs.

Living in Truth in the Age of Automatization

Jenkins, Jordan January 2013 (has links)
Thesis advisor: Gerald Easter / "Living in Truth in the Age of Automatization" is a discussion of dehumanization in the period of technological and bureaucratic supremacy. The article uses the writings of former Czech president Václav Havel and American novelist Kurt Vonnegut to argue that neither the automatization inherent within the Eastern Communist Model nor the mass consumer culture of the Western Capitalist Model are ideal, and to discuss the possibility of a third way, a way called "living in truth" which protects human dignity and the right of every man to pursue meaningful work in a society. / Thesis (MA) — Boston College, 2013. / Submitted to: Boston College. Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. / Discipline: Political Science.

Optimalizace rozmístění zásob v skladových lokacích / Optimization of Stock Locations in Warehouses

Douša, Daniel January 2019 (has links)
Warehouses contain different sections with locations that are suitable for different products divided by their size, weight, and especially turnover. The aim of the thesis is to design a model of distribution and automated reallocation of individual products within the warehouse from their receipt from suppliers to delivery to customers. It is necessary to incorporate behaviour towards new products without historical sales data, holding minimum and maximum stocks at individual locations, and adding or shifting products. The main goal of the whole work is to find an algorithm for inventory storage calculation so that the customer can get his order as quickly as possible. There are also secondary goals. These include, for example, the amount of inventory needed and the number of transfers. The solution found, even in the case of worse evaluation according to the main requirement, can be a better solution due to better evaluated side targets.

Spectrophotometric measurement automatization for the analysis of enzymatic processes

Nilsson, Karolina January 2010 (has links)
<p>This thesis work consisted of the development of a virtual instrument that automates enzyme activity measurements and spectrum measurements with the spectrophotometer UVmini-1240. The purpose was to expand the functionality of the instrument, to eliminate the human error and to decrease the amount of time spent on measurements. A PC was connected to the UVmini-1240 via a RS-232C interface and the cell position and temperature was regulated with a CPS-240A controller. The new interface allows all the parameters to be set in the same place. It allows a visualization of the continuous monitoring of the sample absorbance and the option to save the data for post-processing. Also a module for measuring the spectrum of a sample in the wavelength range of 190 nm to 1100 nm is included. The graphical programming language LabView was used to develop the virtual instrument. This thesis work also contained measurement series of the catalase enzyme activity. These were carried out to determine the best storage temperature for the catalase solution and to determine the optimal surrounding temperature for the highest activity in the catalase solution. The conclusions were that the activity does not change considerably the first week of storage, not matter the temperature, and that the activity goes down when the surrounding temperature reaches above 30° C. These measurements were part of a bigger project to develop an ultrasonic method for measuring enzyme activity at the Institute of Acoustics at C.S.I.C in Madrid.</p>
