This thesis describes the design and practical realization of a prototype mobile, battery-powered device that is able to periodically recording electrocardiogram and fotopletysmogram or blood pressure. Data from these periodic scanning is processed by microcontroller and stored on a memory card which is part of the proposed device. The device can be connected to a PC via USB like a virtual serial port.

This thesis deals with the design of the 3,5" floppy drive emulator with ATMEGA microprocessor unit. The emulator has been designed according to the principles of designing electronic devices, there is also object-control application and firmware for a microcontroller, which supports MFM coding. This diploma thesis is dedicated to one of the problems in wireless sensor networks – over the air upgrade (OTAU) of nodes. The requirements for upgrade and possible ways how to transfer new firmware image to nodes are stated in the first chapter. The second chapter is focused on solving the problem of firmware dissemination to whole network based on analysis of known protocols. The practical part of this thesis deals with OTAU design and implementation in Lightweight Mesh software stack from Atmel. Proposed system was tested on deRFnode platform with plugged in deRFmega128 module. The upgrade process of designed system is evaluated on test network in last part. Practical test results are compared with OTAU solution for BitCloud.

With these values controller control pump activation and 3-way valve position. Operator can set all settings in user interface which are needed for a right working. Controller unit attempt minimize energy used for a pump while working.

This work describes 3D reconstruction using stereo vision. It presents methods for automatic localization of corresponding points in both images and their reprojection into 3D space. Application created can be used for navigation of a robot and object avoidance. Second part of the document describes chosen components of the robot. This project describes a concept of a library architecture that will enable to hide platform-specific behaviour of different MCUs under an united API that will enable the developers to develop portable applications. After a short summary of the current situation, the report describes the main principles of the library-to-be followed by definitions of behaviour of each module that can be controlled using the library. Then this report describes techniques used in the implementation and platform specifics. In the conclusion there is an idea of the direction in which the development could continue.

The subject of this thesis is design and construction of a periodic signal generator prototype. The generator will use Atmel XMEGA128A4U microcontroller with computer control managed via USB interface. The thesis contains general solutions to the problem of generating signals with a special focus on utilization of DA converter – digital synthesis and reconstruction of the signal from DA converter output to continuous signal. The thesis further deals with implementation of the USB layer using two libraries (LUFA library on microcontroller side and LubUsbDotNet library on computer side). The final solution will include DC step-up converter for signal peak amplitude assessment and summing amplifier for adding the DC voltage to the output signal. The application will allow for generating signals of various shapes including user-defined ones. These signals will be displayed in the actual application window. There, users will be allowed to create user-defined signal in easy-to-use GUI or load it directly from a file.

This master thesis deals with the design and realization of a drive for a 500 W BLDC motor powered with a battery power supply. It also deals with the possibilities of realization of drives and other possibilities to control these motors. Describes the implementation of the inverter using Atmel's AVR microcontroller. The thesis also deals with the design of an auxiliary switching inverter. Communication with UART and CAN interface is also implemented.
