This diploma thesis describes the intervention of the Czech National Bank in November 2013 in terms of current economic theory and practice as well as its justification. In the first theoretical part is presented actual literature dealing with the zero lower bound (ZLB). This part is divided to general description of ZLB, its prevention and possibilities of monetary policy. Further are described experiences from Japan and other countries which achieved ZLB. In this context is also presented intervention made by the Czech National Bank. Hypothesis whether the intervention was justified is tested by linear and nonlinear Taylor rule. Estimate is made by the least squares method using quarterly data from the CSO and CNB. The results of model confirm the hypothesis, which means that the optimal monetary policy interest rate would fall below zero.

The thesis presents specifics of the turn-key investment's export to Russian Federation financed by Czech Export Bank Plc. (the "CEB"). The aim of this thesis is to outline the general procedure applied in CEB towards export financing of turn-key investments, as well as to the Russian market. Furthermore, this thesis describes mutual trade relations between the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation, as well as possible difficulties that might occur during the export to Russia. Theoretical knowledge is reflected to the final case study describing the financing in form of the buyer's credit provided by CEB.

The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyse the development of central banking and to evaluate current legal status of the Czech National Bank. Due to the volume of the Czech National Bank's activities, the work is focused only on the supervisory activities of the Czech National Bank and on the examination of the functioning of the unified supervision system. The diploma thesis is focused on the origin and development of the world financial crisis started in 2007 and its analysis. The steps taken by the European Central Bank and the Czech National Bank to respond to this crisis are then analyzed. Furthermore, the work shows the impact of the crisis and central bank measures on two selected domestic banks. At the end of the thesis are made suggestions and recommendations.

This thesis focuses on the evaluation of Air Bank a.s. on the market and contains a comparison of the bank with its competitors. Furthermore, the assessment uses selected indicators of financial analysis which take into account the specifics of banking. Based on the data obtained from the evaluation, the paper provides recommendations to improve the current economic situation of the bank.

The thesis is focused on the analysis of the current communication mix of selected product of the unnamed bank and suggesting of recommendations for its improvement. The theoretical part contains the explanation of terms and knowledge relating not only to the marketing communication, but to the marketing in general. The aim of this project is detection of gass leak based on the ultrasound sensing. Work introduces ultrasound, mechanism of its propagation and attenuation. From all of the available microphones, the piezoelectric microphone was chosen. Project continues with description of the device, which can be capable of detection of the ultrasound leakage in dangerous, explosive environment. This type of device must meet requirements of SIL 2 standard and ATEX directive for zone 2. Project discusses LNA (Low Noise Amplifier), filters and detection circuits design. The device is modular what means that each module can be freely replaced. The role of these modules is to convert analog signal to digital form suitable for microcontroller HERCULES TSM57012.
