Vytlačil, Lukáš Michael January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis "Suites for solo flute in French prints 1702-1722" deals with a complete set of printed collections with suites, which represent the first solo music for a transverse flute with basso continuo. The first part is devoted to the influences that made the flute a solo instrument and also to the composers who worked in the royal orchestras at the court of Louis XIV. and composed these collections (Michel de la Barre, Jacques Martin Hotteterre, Anne Danican Philidor, Pierre Danican Philidor and François Danican Philidor). The second part focuses on specific subtopics. First, it is a detailed description of the prints, followed by instrumentation, ornamentation, articulation and formal construction. The work concludes with a detailed explanatory dictionary of non - musical names that appear in some collections.

Malířský cech na Novém Městě pražském v 17. a 18. století / The Painters' Guild in Prague's New Town in 17th and 18th Century

Heisslerová, Radka January 2020 (has links)
The presented dissertation deals with the history of the painter's guild of the New Town of Prague with the main emphasis on its form and development in the 17th and 18th centuries but doesn't leave aside the period of older history. The work thus focuses on New Town painters from the beginnings of the existence of their guild, through the issuance of the privilege of Emperor Rudolf II. in 1595, by which he granted the Old Town-Lesser Town painter's guild significant privileges, as a result of which the joint development of all Prague painting associations began to take different paths. The thesis also deals with the circumstances leading to the demise of the guild in the 1780s, when the Prague painters' fraternities were abolished by Emperor Joseph II. In addition to the history of the painters' association, the thesis provides an insight into the guild life of New Town painters, which it monitors in individual positions within the guild hierarchy, focuses on the functioning of the association itself, its management, material and written sources, representation of the corporation and individual members, and last but not least, it describes the way of worshiping the patron saint of painters - St. Luke. Because not only members of the guild worked as painters in the New Town of Prague, the work also...

František Siard Nosecký / František Siard Nosecký

Staňková, Petra January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on František Siard Nosecký (1693 - 1753) - Czech baroque painter and on his artwork. He was born into an artistic environment. His father Jindřich Nosecký was also a painter which certainly greatly influenced his son. The majority of pieces of Siard Nosecký came into existence for Premonstratensian order into which he joined as a young man. Location of his artwork frequently corresponds with the location of his parish. His functioning is noticeable at different locations in Bohemia. However the largest space for self-fulfillment he had in Prague at Strahov in his home monastery where he spent the biggest portion of his consecrated life. In addition to acquainting with the life, work and creative inspiration of the painter, a substantial part of the thesis consists of a catalog of works that presents not only extant works but also several non-existent realizations that we learn about only from literature today.

Kostel svatého Mikuláše v Benešově / Church of St. Nicholas in Benešov

Véghová, Jana January 2014 (has links)
The Diploma thesis deals with the church of St. Nicholas. Thesis is about church monographically, focusing on the period of creation, the buiding itself and artistic value of the church and its equipment. Thesis processes architecture of the church, not just a description, but it also looks for possible patterns and analogie. Whereas the predecessor of the church can be dated to the 11. century is very interesting to see how the church was created in connection with the foundation of the city. Equipment of the church is at first sight rather baroque, but we will find such a sights as the valuable work of the main altar, the image Assumpta from 15. century Among important baroque monuments includes the cykle of the life of St. Clement by Ignác Viktorín Raab and statues of the St. Aldabert and Prokop from the workshop of Matyas Bernar Braun. The church is an interestin unification of various styles.

Torzo krajiny. Příběh barokní krajiny severních Čech / A torso of a landscape. The story of a baroque landscape of northern Bohemia.

Drápalová, Kristýna January 2016 (has links)
(English) This study has two aims. First, to reconstruct the landscape arrangement of the northern tip of the North Bohemian Basin at the end of the baroque era, focusing on compositional relationships between landscape dominants, both in a scale of pilgrim areas, castles, churches and monasteries and in a scale of chapels and small sculptural and architectonic monuments. The second aim is to, on the example of this - in baroque era extraordinarily rich landscape - examine the phenomenon of the Czech baroque landscape by comparing conclusions of the reconstruction with the widespread conception of compositional principles of baroque landscape. For this purpose, a comprehensive catalogue of architectonic and sculptural monuments in the researched area at about 1780, was compiled. Thereafter a map was created, that shows not only the objects as such, but also the compositional relationships between them. The most important resource for the map was a collection of maps of the First military mapping of Bohemia. In the text, the landscape is described through the perspective of a baroque pilgrim, browsing the landscape along the old roads of three selected routes. The conclusions are then summarized in the final chapter. As a result of my study, I came to the conclusion, that neither the researched...

Srovnání Kroniky české Václava Hájka z Libočan a Poselkyně starých příběhů českých Jana Beckovského / Comparison of Kronika česká by Václav Hájek z Libočan and Poselkyně starých příběhů českých by Jan František Beckovský

Koucká, Vladimíra January 2012 (has links)
This thesis compares two chronicles - Kronika česká by Václav Hájek z Libočan and first part of Poselkyně starých příběhů českých by Jan František Beckovský. The comparison showed that both texts (especially in the second part) are very different in their content and manner of processing. Chroniclers supported their narration by many sources of different nature. J. F. Beckovský corrected Hajek's errors, if he had other sources. He interspersed his chronicle with number of documents and own experience he gained while traveling. The authors differ mainly in the content of chronicles. J. F. Beckovský deleted almost all the messages that relate to events abroad and retains only those that are linked to events in the Czech Kingdom. Further differences can be seen in the concept of historical figures, such as Boleslav I., Jan Hus or Jiří z Poděbrad. At the ideological site V. Hájek accented against-town and catholic tendencies. These tendencies are not confirmed in my research. V. Hájek opposes all those who (according to him) disturb peace in the country - against the Germans, Jews and Lutheran priests. Furtermore, in conjunction with these chronicles commonly talked about their Catholic spirit and hatred and anti-Hussite attitude. However V. Hájek assumed an attitude to Jan Hus and Jeroným quite...

The theme of this work is a collection of Vesper music Sacrificium vespertinum composed by J. J. B. Münster. It is the print published in Augsburg in 1729. One copy of the print is preserved in the collection of music prints from the Minorite convent in Český Krumlov. However, originally it was given to the Augustinian convent in Borovany. The print contains mainly psalm and Magnificat settings intended for festive Vespers in the style common in the late baroque catholic church music in the Central Europe. All texts are Latin. The operating apparatus includes solo voices, a mixed choir, two violins and an organ. The aim of the work is to describe and place the collection in the context of the music and liturgy of the time. The edition of selected compositions is a part of the work.

Komponovaná krajina Františka Josefa Schlika a "krajinotvorba" kolem roku 1700 / Landscape Composition of Count Frantisek Josef Schlik and the "Landscape Creation" around the Year 1700

Rychnová, Lucie January 2016 (has links)
This thesis describes the landscape composition of Czech Count Frantisek Josef Slik (Frantz Joseph Schlik, 1656-1740) and attempts to define the influences and principles which were involved in the formation of the landscape in the manors of Kopidlno, Stare Hrady and Velis- Voksice, now in the Czech Republic, during the life of the aristocrat. Frantisek Josef Schlik ruled the manors for over 60 years and during that time he was responsible for many architectural works with considerable landscape-forming and urbanistic potential. A series of visually interlinked chapels was erected in the Velis-Voksice manor. This series included the meierhof with a little palace in Voksice. This landscape composition has been discussed especially as regards its formal design, but its connection to the Count's motivation has been less well researched, as has been the broader social and, especially, religious context in the area. Another aspect that has been put aside, or not perceived within the context of the manorial landscape, were other structures which Frantisek Josef Schlik built or which were of essential importance for the activities in the manor. These structures, meierhofs, were also significant landscape components. This dissertation first attempts to provide a biography of Frantisek Josef Schlik,...
