For both, to assess the level of welfare of the worker with DORT, its socio-economic level, as well as changes in personal and professional life of the worker with DORT. We interviewed people with DORT and the results show that, in general, the participants did not show signs of inadequate social or psychological suffering. These results indicate a direction different from that found in the literature and they are discussed emphasizing the differences in lifestyle in large and small cities. / O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar a qualidade de vida do trabalhador portador de DORT em cidades agrícolas, nesse caso na Região do Vale do São Patrício. Para tanto, avalia-se o nível de bem-estar do trabalhador com DORT, seu nível sócio-econômico, assim como as mudanças ocorridas na vida pessoal e profissional do trabalhador com DORT. Foram entrevistados portadores de DORT e os resultados mostram que, de uma maneira geral, os participantes não apresentam sinais de inadequação social nem de sofrimento psicológico. Esses resultados apontam numa direção diferente daquela encontrada na literatura e eles são discutidos ressaltando-se as diferenças no estilo de vida nas grandes e pequenas cidades.

The participants were 321 active nurses. The results indicated no difference between workers in the public or the private sector regarding the perception of the efficiency in their professional activities performance. In both kinds of institution the degree of perceived efficiency was low. As to the level of satisfaction and well-being, the results obtained indicated that the workers in the private sector were more satisfied, also presenting higher levels of physical and psychological well-being. These results are discussed emphasizing the differences between the working conditions in the public and private sectors. / Este trabalho teve como objetivos: a. traçar o perfil de bem-estar psicossocial do(a)s trabalhadore(a)s enfermeiro(a)s de Goiânia-GO; e b. comparar os perfis entre aqueles atuantes na rede pública e privada. O(A)s participantes foram 321 enfermeiros(as) que estavam atuando na profissão. Os resultados indicaram que não existiu diferença entre aqueles que atuavam no setor público e no privado quanto à percepção da eficiência do desempenho das atividades profissionais. Em ambos os tipos de instituição, o grau de eficiência percebido foi baixo. Já em relação aos níveis de satisfação e bem-estar, os resultados obtidos indicaram que os(as) trabalhadores(as) do setor privado estavam mais satisfeitos, apresentando também níveis de bem-estar físico e psicológico mais elevados. Esses resultados são discutidos enfatizando as diferenças nas condições de trabalho entre os setores público e privado.
