Blodtrycksmätning är en av sjuksköterskans arbetsuppgifter och hon/han ska genom den kunna identifiera patientens hälsostatus. Därför är det viktigt att blod-trycksmätningen utförs på ett korrekt sätt så att risken för felvärden i blodtrycks-resultatet är så liten som möjligt. Det finns olika rekommendationer om hur blod-trycksmätningen ska utföras. De rekommendationer som tas upp i detta arbete är handboken för hälso- sjukvården (2008), WHO (1993) och European Society of Hypertension, ESH (O’Brien, 2003).Syftet: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att undersöka hur olika kroppspositioner vid blodtrycksmätning påverkar blodtrycksresultaten. Metod: För att finna vetenskaplig litteratur användes Goodmans (SBU, 1993) sju steg som inspiration. Databaserna Pubmed och CINAHL användes för att finna vetenskapliga artiklar. Efter granskning och kvalitetsbedömning återstod det 15 artiklar som användes i denna studie. Resultat: Det visade sig tydligt att hur patienten sitter, ligger, står eller hur patien-tens arm- eller benpositionen var vid blodtrycksmätningen påverkade blodtrycks-resultatet. / Measuring blood pressure is one of the tasks through which the nurse identifies a patient’s state of health. It is essential that the blood pressure is measured cor-rectly so that the risk of an incorrect blood pressure result is minimal. There are a number of different recommendations of how the blood pressure should be taken. The recommendations that are discussed in this essay are from handbook for hälso- sjukvården (2008), WHO (1993) and European Society of Hypertension, ESH (O’Brien, 2003).Aim: The aim of this study was to examine how different body position during blood pressure determination can influence the result. Method: To find scientific literature Goodman’s seven step methods (SBU, 1993) was used for guidance. Pubmed and CINAHL are the databases that were used to find scientific articles.
