Přirozená obnova a produkční potenciál borovice vejmutovky (Pinus strobus L.) v oblasti Městských lesů Hradec KrálovéVaněk, Petr January 2013 (has links)
This dissertation thesis deals with two aspects of Eastern white pine. The first objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of the amount of solar radiation on the parameters of natural regenerated Eastern white pine individuals -- density, height, stem diameter, height increment and crown morphological parameters. The second objective of this work was to compare the production potential (stem volume, stock) of Eastern white pine and native Scots pine. For both purposes were selected forests stands with appropriate representation of Eastern white pine in Hradec Králové municipal forests. For the first objective study showed that the amount of light is a key factor in relation to Eastern white pine regeneration. Increasing amount of light significantly affects both density and growth parameters (height, stem diameter, height increment) of natural regenerated individuals. Effect of light on crown morphological parameters has not been proved. For the second objective evaluation of data showed that same old Eastern white pine in the same habitat reaches significantly greater stem volume than Scots pine in the order of several tens of percent, depending on the age of forests stand.

Kontrukce lokálních objemových tabulek pro borovici lesní na LS TřeboňDvořák, Daniel January 2019 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to create volume tables for Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) in Forest Service Třeboň which is an organizational unit of Lesy České republiky, s.p. (state enterprise). Data for this paper were gathered from more than 250 trees that were measured in the field. DendroScanner program that can be used to form volume tables based on tree photographs combined with data measured in the field was used for this analysis (non-destructive method). According to the Czech forest ecosystem classification system, data were measured in six sets of forest types (SLT) and laser range-finder was used alongside other mechanic tools on the majority of Forest Service area. The accuracy of the data was verified by comparing it to a control set of lying trees (destructive method). The results of this paper are volume tables merged together for five SLT (supplemented by three additional tables) and independent tables designed for a 0M type. These tables are specified by a significantly higher stock of timber in comparison to traditional ones made by ÚLT.

Citlivost letokruhových řad borovice lesní (Pinus sylvestris) ke klimatickým parametrům / Sensitivity of Scotch pine ring-width chronologies to climatic variablesLehečková, Eliška January 2013 (has links)
Presented master's thesis deals with the climate sensitivity of radial growth of Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) growing in the Protected Landscape Area Kokořínsko. The principal aim was to find out whether there are differences in the climate-growth response of pines growing on dry and mesic sites. To cope with that question tree ring cores were collected from stands on dry sandstones plateau and from stands near valley bottom with better water supply. Residual chronologies were developed and climatic factors limiting growth were identified using partial correlation analysis. The results show that pines on rocky sites respond positively to high precipitation during the vegetation season whereas trees on wetter sites react positively to high temperatures. In most study stands high February temperatures positively affect radial growth. Moving partial correlations analysis showed that the strongest responses to month climatic variables were stable over the studied period 1902 - 2009. Pointer years were determined and compared with precipitation and temperature anomalies in the corresponding pointer year, furthermore the effect of climate on number of trees with growth anomaly was studied using partial correlations analysis. Results of these analyses were in compliance with the previous findings. In...

Vliv pěstebních opatření na mechanické vlastnosti dřeva borovice lesní / Impact of Silvicultural Measures on Some Mechanical Wood Properties of Scots PineSchönfelder, Ondřej January 2016 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of silvicultural measures on selected mechanical properties of Scots pine of the area Doksy and Plasy. Each area is characterized by growths that are typical for the locality. From areas Doksy were selected 3 stands and 2 from Plasy region. For each crop were chosen representative of the trees that were cut down, and testing material was produced. On test samples was determined density at 12 % level moisture, modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity, toughness and compression strength in the fiber direction. All tests were carried out by standardized procedures. Using statistical methods, it was found that a statistically significant value of compared areas were only in the density. The others properties which were examined in the areas are statistically insignificant. However, when assessing individual stands with ANOVA was generally for the most of properties found statistically significant difference. This suggests that the pine wood properties are dependent on location. In horizontal plane strain was found a statistical significance for all of the tested characteristics. That shows that the position of the wood in the stem has impact on the mechanical properties. Furthermore, the individual results were evaluated in terms of dependence on the density. Which resulted in the majority of cases middle to high dependency.

Invasive diseases of pines in South EuropeBuchtová, Barbora January 2016 (has links)
This thesis deals with the issue of invasive pest and diseases invading pine trees in South Europe (Italy, France, Spain and Portugal). Pine trees are one of the largest families spread all over the world, including South Europe, which also has the highest number of invasive diseases. Information about the most important and most widespread invasive diseases and pests of pine trees in South Europe were identified and compared on several internet databases. This information is detail analyzed in the work. Information include the names of invasive pests and diseases, the year and the pathway of introduction in individual countries, their description, hosts, applied control measures etc. Thesis provides a unified and comprehensive facts about this issue. The most important and most widespread invasive diseases and pests of pine trees in South Europe are: Dothistroma septosporum, Lecanostica acicola, Fusarium circinatum, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus etc.
