The topic of this thesis is the development of bicycling in the city České Budějovice and in the region of South Bohemia. The whole thesis is divided into 3 parts: the review, methodology and practical part. The main aim of the thesis is to create the list of suggestions about strategy of the development of bicycling and its implementations to the City Hall of České Budějovice. In the practical part of thesis there was analysed the document Plán rozvoje infrastruktury pro cyklisty v Českých Budějovicích (in english: The plan of Development of infrastructure for bicyclists in České Budějovice). At first the plan was evaluated by set the criteria, which were set by Ministry of finance´s methodical manuals. On the next capture the document was compared with the documents of higher-levels´ entities, whether it is in harmony with strategies and visions. The Cycling Plan was subsequently compared with documents of other Czech towns (Tábor, Pardubice, Hradec Králové, Jihlava and Karlovy Vary). Based on the identified shortcomings there were established a list of recommendations to the City Hall of České Budějovice.

Master thesis is aiming to problematics of air transport and its impacts on regional development. First part of this thesis is dedicated to theoretical studying of aviation, aviation´s history, its impacts mainly on economics and environment. Next part of theoretical studying examines regional development, theoretical basis of regional development, how is it measured and which tools are being used for influencing regional development. Practical part is aiming on the importance of air transport for selected region, then it informs about similar airports. This is helpful for making an opinion how airport can influence a region. In the next part the program of regional development of selected region is analyzed and there are identified the most important points which are analyzed in the last part. The last part is trying to respond to the objectives of the thesis, which are evaluation of the impacts of aviation on regional development in selected region and quantification of these effects.

Aim of this study was to assess distribution and abundance of common synanthropic species of birds (House sparrow, Tree sparrow, Eurasian collared dove and Blackbird) in area of the city České Budějovice in the Czech Republic in autumn and winter. Habitat preferences of these species were analysed. Study also determined influence of the certain characteristics of urban vegetation on their occupation by both species of sparrows.

The theoretical and practical part is dealing with the detail of a czech wall painting with the motif of the Virgin Mary from the peak era of the Middle Ages. The theoretical part introduces the marian theme. It describes its iconography, meaning in art and closely specifies the division of images according to devotional themes. The next part is focused on the description and analysis of the motif of the Virgin Mary the Protector, which is depicted on wall painting in a cloister of the Church of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in České Budějovice. In the practical part is fundamental creation of the relief as a haptic aid for the visually impaired. Created reliefs are polychrome reconstruction of the wall paintings of the above-mentioned motif. The work is supplemented by other materials, implementation procedure, sketches and photo documentation.

The thesis called Virgin Mary Klasová - the compensatory haptic aid is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is devoted to the history of Gothic painting in the Czech territory. The work focuses on the history of the city České Budějovice and maps the development of the monastery Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She discusses the Gothic painting of Virgin Mary Klasová, taking into account its iconographic and historical significance. The theoretical part further describes the characteristics of visual impairments and gives information about its problems. The practical part aims to transform the image of the Virgin Mary on a compensatory tactile aid in the form of a relief.

This work deals with the application of leisure education graduates on the labor market in the Czech Republic. It introduces the concept of leisure, its origins and historical development of educational activities. It deals with the pedagogy of leisure as a science, pedagogy discipline and the field of study. It introduces the pedagogue of leisure, his vocational training, profile and application. Last but not least, closer to the ties of labor market, it covers the unemployment and status of university graduates on the labor market. The last chapter presents the results of the performed research. The research focused on finding employment of graduates of leisure education from Faculty of Theology of University of South Bohemia on the czech labor market in relation to this field, their preparation for practice and obtaining their opinions about that field of study.

The thesis deals with investigation of activities of Catholic sports association Czechoslovak Eagle from the beginning of the century to the Second World War. It describes its history and explains its most important activity with reference to the activities in South Bohemia, in particular in Jindřichův Hradec and Třeboň. It explains the aims of its work as well as the historical value with reference to particular examples. Its how is the main meaning in connection of spirituality and materialism. The first part describes the history of Czechoslovak Eagle, its foundation, organization, and, its most interesting historical moments. The second part describes its activities in the region of South Bohemia. The third part sets the Eagle's work in Třeboň into the historical context. The fourth does the same with the Eagle's work in Jindřichův Hradec.

Thesis deals offering leisure activities for seniors in České Budějovice and their use. First, the author deals with basic concepts of the topic, defines terms of age and aging and discusses the problems that this entails. She also describes the social aspects and shows the negative demographic development of aging in EU countries and the Czech Republic. In the research concludes that in the sample seniors living in the Czech Budejovice is the most active group of seniors visiting the University of the Third Age, while the group home for elderly people spend their time differently from other groups, perhaps related to the fact that life in a constitutional device is specific and different

The Klikov Formation (Upper Cretaceous) represents the lowest stratigraphic unit of the South Bohemian basins. It provides record of continental deposits related to fluvial processes. Analysis of facies and architectures supplemented with paleocurrents data provided a basis for interpretation of depositional system exposed underground on the locality Hosín-Orty. In this study identifies sedimentary facies corresponding to high-energy river environmnent with dominance of traction current deposition are identified. Next to this, facies corresponding to low-energy deposition from suspension is preserved. From the perspective of architecture analysis depositional record represent active river channels and their fills eventuelly fills of abandoned channels. Low dispersion of paleocurrent values is consistent with a low-sinuosity river. Vertical aggradation of channels, dominance of river bars in channel-fill, downstream accretion, absence of ripples, point-bars, lateraly accreted patterns and floodplain deposits correspond with braided river environment. Stratigraphic units A, B, C, D, E, F corresponding to fluvial environment or environment of abandoned channel were distinguished. v anglickém jazyce The book presents an array of woven patterned fabrics from church treasuries in the territory of the Diocese of České Budějovice. The examples provided originate in the period spanning from the 16th to the 18th century, and they represent only a small selection of the surviving collections. The focal point consists of a magnificent collection of textiles from the 18th century, documenting the development of the individual historical spheres of decors overlapping into corresponding variants of design. The variability of patterns pertaining to this century is unusually high, and it combines a large number of sources of inspiration with roots in exotic overseas countries. The catalogue entries are furnished with brief technological analyses that offer an insight into the textile production of the respective periods and, at the same time, they provide researchers with a deeper understanding of the individual fabrics on display. Although the area of the Diocese of České Budějovice to a certain degree exceeds the boundaries of the Region of South Bohemia, the collections examined were, in their majority, imported from western European countries manufacturing weaving products of world renown.
