Technická analýza v aplikaci na vybrané mezinárodní trhy / The application of technical analysis in chosen international markets

Beránek, Jiří January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis focuses on the practical methods and application of technical analysis in international markets. Thesis is divided in three thematic parts. The first one focuses on the history and basic concepts of international exchange markets, futures contracts and the definition of basic terms which are essential for understanding the markets. Second part focuses on the methods of technical analysis which can be divided in two sections -- technical indicators and price action. All mentioned instruments are shown in real market data and charts. Third part focuses on the application of technical analysis in a chosen international market. The application goes through our trading system which combines appropriate technical indicators with price action formation supplemented by methods of money management. Several simulations were made on tested real historical data. The simulations differed in money management settings (automated stoploss tracking, Kelly's formula, Fixed ratio). To find the worst possible trading scenario was used Monte Carlo analysis.

Burzovní aliance a nové finanční trhy ve světě / Stock exchange mergers, alliances and new financial markets

Znojová, Anna January 2011 (has links)
In my final thesis, I focus on the various forms of Stock Exchange's cooperation and try to outline the impact of deregulation and globalization to Stock Exchange Markets organization. I mentioned the theoretical background, which were used as a basis for analyzing the topic of consolidation of stock exchanges. In the introduction I explain some basic terms, such as mergers, union or federation, and clarify the difference between cooperation and consolidation. Then I focused on the first transatlantic alliance and one of the most important entities in the Stock Exchange markets - NYSE Euronext. I evaluated the alliance of the three selected indicators, the market capitalization, trading volume and market velocity. The analyze carried out in my thesis shows that the regulatory authorities allowed in the past the establishment of Stock Exchanges alliances, which are currently the largest and most important players on the Stock Exchanges markets, and it is really difficult for regional markets to compete them. This problem is, in particular, outlined in the case of Deutsche Börse, which sought to be connected with the transatlantic alliance NYSE Euronext., but this merger was rejected by the European Commission, just for fear of disruption of market competition. As the evidence that the Stock Exchange markets are constantly busy and that all exchanges are trying to reach the best position and thus are seeking for the best possible partner for future cooperation, I introduced two recently published plans for connections, which was merger between Deutsche Börse and the Russian stock exchange MICEX and merger of Intercontinental Exchange and NYSE Euronext. At last but not least I focused on the analysis of the Asian continent from the perspective of realized and unrealized mergers where Stock Exchange markets are not oversaturated and still have a huge potential for further development.

PERSPEKTIVY VÝVOJE IPO V REGIONU STŘEDNÍ A VÝCHODNÍ EVROPY / PERSPECTIVES OF IPO DEVELOPMENT IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPEAN REGION

Plottová, Sylvia January 2018 (has links)
The main aim of this dissertation is to identify the factors influencing the decision-making of enterprises on entering the capital market in selected CEE countries and formulate recommendations for further development of this form of financing. The key methodological tool is the collection of primary data by means of a questionnaire in which respondents (usually in the CFOs position) expressed their views on the issues related to internal and external factors affecting IPO activity. The results of the questionnaire survey show that the strongest motives for IPO implementation are the ability to raise capital to finance investment opportunities, improve publicity and image of the company, reduce debt, and be recognized by a relevant financial community as an important company. Among the barriers that most affect IPO implementation are the obligation to disclose company information that is key to a competitive advantage, asymmetry of information between external investors and the company, the interest in retaining decision-making control over the company, and the existence of alternative administratively less complex capital resources at the time of implementation of IPO. As per CFOs macroeconomic factors that have the greatest impact on IPO are favorable conditions in the stock market, favorable conditions in the sector in which the company operates, favorable GDP growth, and the use of banking loan at a relatively low interest rate. The results of the dissertation are the basis for the formulation of recommendations for potential IPO candidates.
