The master thesis deals with structural design of new building for retirement people in Veselí nad Moravou. The building has three floors and basement. There are nursing spaces, dining area and rooms for people with reduced mobility on the first floor. The second and third floor is used for accomodation and social activities. The technical facilities and storage spaces for flat users are in basement. The construction system consists of masonry system with ceramic bricks porotherm. The roof design is gabled and there is also a flat roof up on the part of building with access for flat users.

This diploma thesis describes elementary factors affecting real estate rental market. The thesis includes a market research in two different localities in the city of Brno. The result of the research determines a usual rent amount. The collected data is separated by the number of rooms 1+1/kk, 2+1/kk a 3+1/kk and bigger (number of room + the kitchen or a kitchenette) and plot into a map. The usual rent amount defines three levels on each of the groups. The conclusion of the thesis evaluates the research results.

Part of the thesis is also the calculation of the average cost of the framework from a State property and the size of the municipality in which the property is situated, and at the same time, it is examined whether occurs due to lower interest rates to the growth of real estate prices. The necessary information about the level of interest rates for each month and the fixation period are listed from the Czech National Bank. The diploma thesis designs project of residental house in Sluhy village. The thesis solves layout and spatial studies, technical reports, drawings for detailed documentation, simple static calculations, building physical examination and assessment of fire safety The architectural and spatial design is based on shapes and proportions oft he original building, which demolition was realized during the project developing. The desing is also based on shapes of existing buildings in surrounding, it means large rural homestead near Prague. There are designed eight dwelling units in the residental house ranging from one room with kitchen to five room with kitchen. All of them are accesible common entrance. Common garage are situated on the ground floor.

Diploma thesis deals with the new use of the former Franciscan monastery and the modification of the so-called Roman Square in Brno. This district was once Jewish quarter and still has a unique genius loci. The main new function of the monastery is a new branch of the diocesan museum. The Roman Square is a set of diverse places no longer found in the center of Brno. Interventions in its structure are kept to a minimum, in particular the addition of buildings at the gaps. A valuable passage element in the northeastern sector remains accessible through the arcade on the ground floor of the block of flats no. 2. In addition, a new passage will be created in the northwest sector with a covered market. Thanks to these interventions, the whole space of the square will be revived and made more attractive with regard to monument restoration.
