Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brasil. / O presente estudo objetiva investigar de forma mais sistematizada como eram engendradas as práticas de cura não licenciadas nas Minas Gerais no curso do século XVIII, tendo como seus principais agentes os africanos e mestiços fossem escravos ou libertos , dado que a despeito da constante perseguição, tanto laica como religiosa, estes indivíduos foram os principais responsáveis por ações terapêuticas no espaço estudado, sendo acionados, sobretudo, para remediarem as temidas doenças de feitiço . Neste contexto, além das práticas individuais de cura, darei ênfase também às ações coletivas protagonizadas pelos negros curadores (conforme são apresentados na documentação persecutória), com especial destaque para os nomeados calundus, que também possuíram frequência considerável nas Minas Gerais setecentistas. Para esta análise trabalho fundamentalmente com as fontes eclesiásticas de repressão, principalmente as devassas eclesiásticas, que funcionavam ao nível do bispado, e as denúncias encontradas nos Cadernos do Promotor do Santo Ofício, além de consultar, de modo acessório, parte dos tratados médicos escritos no período estudado, a propósito de perceber as semelhanças e diferenças entre as ações dos representantes da medicina oficial (em especial os cirurgiões) e aquelas dos curadores ilegais. / This study aims to investigate more systematically how they were engendred haling practices unlicenced in the Minas Gerais in the course of the eighteenth century, having as its main agents Africans and mestizos – slaved or freed – give that dispite the constant harassment both secular and religious, these individuals were primarily responsible for the therapeutic actions in the area studed, being driven primarily to remedy the dreaded “spell of illness”. In this context, in addiction to the individuals practices of healing, I also give emphasis to collective enthralled by “black trustees” (as they are presented in the percecutory documentation), with special emphasis on the nominess calundus, who also possessed considerable frequency in the eighteenth century Minas Gerais. For thid analysis work primarily with the sources of ecclesiastical repression, specially the devassas eclesiásticas, which functioned at the bishopric and the allegations found in the books of the Holly Office of Procetutor, beyond consult, on an ancillary part of the medical treatises written in period studed, the purpose of realizing the similarities and differences between the actions of representatives of official medicine (particularly surgeons) an those of the trustees illegal.
