Zavádění standardů kvality sociálních služeb v pobytových zařízeních pro seniory - etické aspekty / The implementation of social services quality standards in residential facilities for elderly people - Ethical aspects

Štegmannová, Ingrid January 2012 (has links)
1 Name of paper / Name of work The implementation of social services quality standards in residential facilities for elderly people - Ethical aspects Abstract The changes in the approach to the clients and adjustments of the run of the facility to their needs are one of the biggest long-term challenges for the service providers. The basis for the correct setting of all the parameters of service (process, personnel and operating) are standards in the quality of social services which involve certain principles and ethical values altogether. One of the essential tools in the changes in approach to clients is the principle of individualization of care, which can be achieved by setting the services to each client individually so that the service provided reflects their real need as much as possible. This dissertation focuses on the individualization of care as a significant indicator in the changes of approach to clients. We tried to figure how the individualization of care reflects in the attitudes of organizations to implement quality standards and how it affects the worker's personality and chosen organizational aspects. An interim goal of this paper was also to identify the ethical aspects which can accompany the introduction of quality standards into practice. We have chosen a method of quantitative...

[en] AGING, CARE AND DESIGN: EXPLORING THE FIELD OF POSSIBILITIES OF THE LONGTERM CARE INSTITUTIONS FOR ELDERLY / [pt] ENVELHECIMENTO, CUIDADOS E DESIGN: EXPLORANDO O CAMPO DE POSSIBILIDADES DAS INSTITUIÇÕES DE LONGA PERMANÊNCIA PARA IDOSOS

ANA PAULA MIRANDA NEVES 16 December 2020 (has links)
[en] Aging has been causing significant changes in people s lives. According to the United Nations, the number of individuals over 80 in the world is expected to triple by 2050. Dementia cases are also expected to triple. Longevity is an achievement, but it brings along a greater number of people in risk of becoming unable to take care of themselves. In Brazil, the Constitution establishes that support for the elderly must be carried out in their homes preferably. However, caring for an elderly person with functional limitations is complex and families are not always able to do so. Long-term care Institutions (LTCIs) can offer the support that families need to care for their elderly. However, they face social prejudice and are not consolidated as a service capable of helping society to deal with the challenges of aging. This dissertation is based on Ezio Manzini s approach to design for social innovation, according to which designers must create favorable conditions for people without formal design knowledge to develop, in a collaborative way, solutions appropriate to their needs. The research aimed to explore the field of possibilities of LTCIs. Therefore, tools of service design were used to get to know the LTCIs; to identify the main demands of the family in the care of the elderly and the main challenges of the LTCIs managers in service management. The study showed the relevance and the urgency of the contribution of the designer specialized in strengthening the service of ILPIs, through the application of collaborative methods and tools with the various stakeholders of this service.

Personalentwicklung in der Altenpflege: Analyse des Konzepts und der Praxis des Führungsansatzes „Pflege den Pflegenden" unter Einbeziehung biblisch-diakonischer Grundprinzipien und Entwicklung eines integrativen Humoransatzes = Personnel development in the care for elderly: analysis of the concept and the application of the principle of leadership. -"care for the carers"- applying Biblical and pastoral principles on the basis of an integrative conception of humour

Kraus, Cornelius 31 March 2008 (has links)
Formerly elderly people were taken care of at home by their families. Nowadays this difficult task is often assigned to professional nurses. In closer analysis of their task it becomes evident that helping the very old, ill and dying people constitutes a physical and mental strain. This necessitates the development a differentiated concept of human resource development that reflects the fundamental Biblical diaconal principles. This dissertation analyses the opportunities and potentials of such a concept. It researches and describes appropriate principles, amongst others the approach of H.U.M.O.R. and the model of Care for Caregivers (Pflege den Pflegenden). These concepts were developed in the "Luise-Schleppe-Haus und Schloss", a geriatric facilities in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, of long standing. The analysis combined with further literature opens up new perspectives for the human resource development in the care for the elderly and the ethical aspects of leaderhship in this context. / Systematic Theology and Theological Ethics / M.
