Organizações Públicas e Privadas, Feedback do Público e Criatividade) e novos consequentes
The present research was dedicated to study career commitment, more specifically the antecedents and consequences of career commitment in the creative industries. The choice for
the creative industries, represented by the cultural producer, is due to the strong emphasis and growth of the creative economy and, above all, the importance of the social role of art and culture. That being exposed, the objective of this research is to understand how career
commitment of cultural producers happens in the context of the creative industries workplace
along their professional development. Therefore, it was proposed to develop three studies.
The first study proposes a review of the academic literature on the subject, national and
international, and links it to the promising field of creative industries, more precisely the
objective is to identify, describe, classify and analyze the research focused on commitment
under the context of career and the context of the creative industries. The second study sought
to identify, describe, categorize and illustrate the antecedents to commitment of the
professional career of workers in the creative industries, with a focus on cultural producers.
The third study aimed to identify, describe, categorize and illustrate the consequences of
commitment of the professional career of workers in the creative industries, also focusing on cultural producers. Regarding the methodology, the first study theoretical) conducted a systemic analysis to reference the scientific production, while the latter two studies used a
qualitative methodology of the life story approach through the biographical interview
technique. The interviews were conducted with eight cultural producers with extensive work
experience in projects in Bahia’s creative industries scenario in two stages. The narratives
were treated with the procedure of content analysis supported by the interpretative paradigm
and with the help of ATLAS.ti software. The findings suggests that there is a lack of studies that inter-relates career commitment and creative industries. Also, has yet to exist studies that include the temporality factor of a career in researches. In this research, the analysis were made to qualitatively support the antecedents and consequences shown in the literature and propose the inclusion of new antecedents (Passion, Family Support, Support of Public and Private Organizations, Audience Feedback and Creativity) and new consequences
(Professional and Personal Life Conflict, Resilience, Become a Professional Example), in order to contribute to the field's already made progress based on the hegemonic use of quantitative research tools.

Comprometimento com a própria carreira e com o processo de ensino: pesquisa survey com professores da carreira de magistério do ensino básico, técnico e tecnológico / Career commitment and teaching process commitment: survey with teachers of teaching career in basic, Technical and Technological EducationRogério Tadeu da Silva 16 May 2016 (has links)
A pesquisa é do tipo survey. / This study investigated the influence of career commitment and entrenchment career in the teaching process, specifically in instructional effort and class preparation commitment, including teachers belonging to the Teaching Career in Basic Education, Technical and Technological Advice. The research aims to collaborate in the development of scales with which reality can be grasped objectively, providing information for decisions and actions in Human Resource Management. The research is a survey. The collected data were statistically analyzed by performing Exploratory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). When the SEM was unachievable, applied Correlation and Regression. The Career Commitment scale, Carson and Bedeian (1994), and the Entrenchment Career scale, Carson, Carson and Bedeian (1995), were tested in a database collected from 105 teachers and obtained similar results to those of other studies. This research contributes to the validation of another scale, Instructional Effort, Rowe (2008). The results were conflicting with the original study about Instructional Effort scale, suggesting that the scale can also have other dimensions and require additional testing. It also proposes and pre-testing a new scale, Class Preparation Commitment, for expression validation. The validity of expression was guaranteed, so the Class Preparation Commitment scale may be subjected to more extensive testing. The research identified relationship of influence between the constructs Career Commitment and Class Preparation Commitment, highlighted the predictive power of Identity dimension on all dimensions of the construct Class Preparation Commitment. It was concluded that the potential of Instructional Effort scale and Class Preparation Commitment scale in helping the school justifies the continued enhancement and testing of these scales. And the educational process, perceived as Input in a Systemic View, needs further study and further reflection in order to guarantee the quality educational provision

Work commitment : Its dimensions and relationships with role stress and intention to quitHoole, Crystal January 1997 (has links)
A renewed interest in work has developed world-wide during the last decade.
One of the reasons for this is that organizations are responding to the
changing economic, social, technological and environmental demands in
ways that are fundamentally transforming the nature of organizations and the
meaning of work for employees. Work has changed tremendously, not only in
nature but also its importance. The current demands placed on organizations
and employees include, among others, global competition, cost-cutting, downsizing
and restructuring and information processing on a large scale. It is
intuitive to think that these changes and demands will affect employees in
some way or the other. For many employees changes brought different job
descriptions, more roles to fulfil and more complicated tasks to complete with
more uncertainty and less clear-cut instructions.
The work commitment construct has been part of a lively debate since
Morrow's (1983) call for a moratorium on the development of further work
commitment measures due to the existence of concept redundancy within and
among the work commitment facets. It has been proposed that the work
commitment construct consists of four main facets i.e. job involvement,
organizational commitment, career commitment and work values. It has
been unclear up to now on how these facets are interrelated. The
relationships between the work commitment facets, role strain and intention to
quit have also not been studied together in a single study before.
The current study investigated the underlying dimensions of the work
commitment construct, the underlying dimensions of each proposed facet, as
well as determined the relationships among the work commitment facets, role
strain and intention to quit, based on a large diverse South African sample.
This was done by using Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analyses, the
calculation of intercorrelations and Structural Equation Modeling. Each
instrument was standardized for South African conditions.
The results indicated that although the instruments were portable to South
Africa, unique results and factors were obtained. Promising results were
obtained with regard to the causal relationships among the variables. / Thesis (DPhil)--University of Pretoria, 1997. / gm2014 / Psychology / Unrestricted
